I was pretty excited to try this wax kit because of the candy apple scent! It was the first thing I checked out when getting the package, and even my boyfriend said how good it smelled.
Usually I use baby powder on my skin before waxing it - I've seen it recommended a few times in other kits, and it always makes a complete difference for me. But I read through the instructions, which of course said to use this wax on clean, dry skin without any creams/oils/etc., and it didn't seem to mention using powder on the skin beforehand so I decided to try without it first.
The wax smells even more delicious when it's heated up, and the recommended time made it the perfect temperature. Once I applied it to my skin, I placed the 'non woven' strip over top and pressed down in the direction of hair growth. Maybe it was me pressing too hard, but the wax made the strip slide down and uncover my skin a bit, which got a bunch of wax on my hand. Thankfully it's completely rinsable! So I removed the strip and most of the wax just stayed on my leg. I tried repressing the strip down to remove it, but that didn't work and I just rinsed the rest off.
The second time I used baby powder (on my otherwise completely clean skin) before trying the wax. I did everything the same, and it was working much better - the baby powder seems to help the wax stick to the hair better and not my skin. But there were still a few wax patches left on my skin each time, plus this time whenever I pressed the strip down before pulling it off, the wax was starting to seep through the cloth and make everything sticky!
It was kind of frustrating because there are so many good qualities about this product - the wax smells amazing, and is completely rinsable with warm water so you don't have to use oil if you prefer. However, it makes more of a mess, and for me, wasn't as effective at removing the hair as my other usual wax kit (Nair Cire Divine, which I LOVE!)
Because this smells so amazing, and the mess redeems itself by being easily rinsed away, I will definitely keep using this, and am so thankful for getting to try it! Nair makes some of the best wax kits, and this one is worth checking out for the Candy Apple scent alone.

I'd just like to saw first off that the box looks DELICIOUS. I've actually been eyeing this at work because of home tasty it looks. Also, it smells as good as it looks! It took all my self control to not eat the wax, because it's bright red like a candy apple. The kit comes with the microwavable wax, wooden spatula, and 15 reusable strips. The strips felt kind of papery so I wasn't sure how well they would wash, but they held up surprisingly well! The wax went on well and little was left on me when I waxed, though I will say the bit that was left on me was a little gruesome looking since it was bright red :P. The wax was effective at removing hair and didn't hurt anymore than usual. Cleaning the wax off my legs was easy.

I like the creamy texture and the delicious candy apply scent. Also it leaves my skin feeling very smooth. However, it's a bit pricey around $15 in store.

First off, the smell is amazing. I was expecting a bit of a plastic-y smell but I was pleasantly surprised. If it was edible I would have eaten it!
overall it worked pretty well, I might buy it again but I do still really like the normal non-microwavable strips. The bonus of this was how washable it was. Instead of having to slather the area with oil I can just use regular water. The downside was it was not AS effective and a bit messy. If you are planning on doing it right before a shower though, than that problem is moot.

I received a complimentary Nair Candy Apple Sugar Wax to test and must say I was pleasantly surprised. It was very easy to use and effective in removing most of the hair on my legs. It smelled wonderful and sweet and helped me feel a little less nervous about any pain I was going to experience. The strips are reusable and it took only a few seconds to rinse. I didn't anticipate how easily the wax would wash out. The ingredients did not irritate my skin afterwards like other waxes. Another great benefit was the color of the wax. Some waxes are the color of my skin, but the color of this wax acted like guide which was kind of nice. I will definitely purchase this item and have already recommended it to my family and friends.

First off lets just say the wax smells AMAZING! I'm Pretty sure you aren't able to eat it but if it was edible I just might have took a bite. This was my first time using wax and I found It was very was to use. Pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it's ready. The instructions were clear as to how to apply the product and how to remove, etc. The wax goes on very well and smooth and sticks well to the hairs/ wax strips so it removes every single hair . I waxed on my legs and it left my skin feelings nice and smooth afterwards. I love the fact that it is 100% rinse-able so you don't have to use any oils to remove the wax residue and you can also remove the wax from the strips and reuse them. I will definitely be purchasing this once I run out!

This stuff smells wonderful, and seemed to do the job. It left my legs feeling nice, not sticky. It didn't get all the hair perfectly, but it's also been a long time since I've used wax. I would probably buy again and recommend to friends.

I received this product free to test from the Chick Advisor Product Review Club, and the smell itself should be reason enough to purchase this product - it smells good enough to eat. It doesn't leave a sticky residue like other wax products, but works best if your hair is longer (even though it's advertised as being good for short hair). I would recommend this, it's a great alternative to a salon, and much more affordable!

I was really excited to be selected for the Nair Candy Apple Sugar Wax just based on the name of the product itself. I am a big fan of apple scented products (especially shampoo!) and this wax did not disappoint. When I opened the package, the smell was delicious! It didn't have a plastic-fake smell, which was great. I tried the wax on my legs to test it out and it worked well on my thin hairs, but not so much on shorter stubby hairs (from shaving!). The best part was that the wax didn't leave too much residue and didn't have to be cleaned up by oil like ones I've tried before. I would recommend this product based on the smell, but if you want to target those hard to wax places (underarm, bikini line, etc.)....it might not work as well.

I must say both myself (and my husband) were excited that I had gotten chosen to review this product! When it arrived I immediately noticed the adorable packaging. Upon opening the product the smell was mouth-watering! It smells good enough to eat ( but it probably would not be a great idea to do so!!!). I tested the product on my legs. Having previously had salon waxing done my expectations were very high but the product did very well! I was not nearly as red and sensitive as with previous waxings and it was very easy to do! I didn't find it too messy and the little mess I made was very easy to clean up. I am definitely now an at home waxer, the price savings will be ginormous! Thank you again for this opportunity!!
