Time wasted
I have a long history of using these hair removal creams, and they all tend to suffer the same downfalls: bad smell and effectiveness. Unfortunately, this one is not much better.
Packaging, I think, is not fully thought out. For starters, the instructions for a cream that could very well burn your skin, is one the box that normally gets thrown out, rather than on the tube itself. I personally don't like keeping extra packaging if I can help it. Also, using a squeeze tube with a rubber ball seems more gimmick than useful, because at the end it's a big mess to clean up, especially if you want to avoid using your hands.
Next, smell = bad.
Finally, it was as effective as I thought. I got rid of all the tiny thin hairs that no one can see anyways, but left the thick ones behind (the ones I actually want gone). You see, I sadly suffer from excessive hair growth (genetic not hormonal) so hair removal is pretty important and a constant battle. The amount of time I took to apply, wait (10 minutes like the box claims), then wash off with such lackluster results, I could have either shaved or epilated and got on with my day. I also wouldn't be left with an itchy face like I am now.
So now I need to get the epilator and finish what this cream couldn't do.
Good Idea, Poor Execution
I was grateful to receive a full-size Nair Prep & Smooth Face Hair Remover Cream Watermelon free from Butterly in exchange for my honest review. The idea was great in theory, with a touch-free applicator, gentle formula for the face, and watermelon scent instead of standard Nair smell. However, I can't give more than 2 stars because it only removed about 40% of my hair despite following instructions and leaving on for the maximum of 10 minutes. The watermelon scent was also off-putting because it was so artificial. I'm happy they revamped the bottle and included an applicator but the effectiveness of the product seems to have declined.
Glad I tested a small spot first
I was interested to try the Nair Prep & Smooth Face because it sounded like it would be an easy product to use
I followed the directions and tested a small spot first and after 2 minutes started having a reaction. I removed the product and was left with a red spot and a burning sensation
I decided not to continue using it
This product did have a watermelon scent and a very easy to use applicator. I guess my skin just didn’t agree with the product
If this didn’t cause a reaction I could see how this would easily be added into your hair removal routine!
