I wanted to like this more than I did
I really bought into the hype around Nars foundation... so many people swear by it and obsess over it so I had really high expectations. When I tried the foundation it was okay... it didn't offer enough coverage for my liking and I feel like the price is just way too high for something that's not that great. It turned cakey after a few hours of use and wouldn't last the whole working day for me. There are much better cheaper alternatives to this. I don't feel like it's worth the splurge at all. The other thing that annoyed me was that for it's high price it doesn't even come with a pump - you have to buy the pump separately.
Could be better
I am glad that this foundation has a pump but the cap does loosen up after shaking as required by the foundation and removal of the cap. The finish is light and find myself mixing it with other foundation as to not have it clinging to my dry spots. I don't find it long wearing but lightweight as to not feel cakey. Would recommend to those that don't have issues with texture and redness.
Just like a drug store foundation
The foundation applied relatively smoothly but was noticeable on dry skin. The colour range is good, but it's not that different from a drug store foundation like L'Oreal True Match. I wouldn't spend $60 on this, not worth it.
I wouldn't buy this product again
My husband bought me this for my bday and I think it's expensive and don't like the way it set on my face !! I've only used it twice because I don't like it at all !
For me this was a miss, simply because I could not find a shade that worked for me! I purchased three bottles and ended up giving them all to friends because I really do like the product. It feels super lightweight on the skin, blends well and doesn't look cakey. I have fair skin with warm undertones and couldn't find a shade that looked natural on me. However, my friends who I gave the foundation to consider it a holy grail and love it! I would make sure you shade match this before buying, but if you do find a shade that matches then that's awesome because this really is a great foundation!
You receive the standard amount for a foundation however it does not have a lot of staying power and by the end of the day is slipping and sliding all over your face.
I have a normal to dry face skin and this foundation didn't work for me. In my oppinion it is perfect for people who have normal or even oily face. Nars All Day Luminous foundation made my face look cakey and it applies very unevenly. It didn't last me all day.
I am not a big fan of this foundation. I do not like the runny consistency of the product. It also dries down very quickly - I must work very fast with blending. While it is very buildable and able to provide great coverage, it does not sit very well on my skin. It does not blend as naturally as some of my other foundations do. In addition, it is also not as "weightless" as its name claims to be. Overall, I find that this product is not worth its price tag.
I am not a big fan of this foundation because of how overly oily this made me. The colour selection wasnt as great for me i did not like the undertone too much.
I have dry skin and this clings to dry patches and looks like cracks in a desert. I need to heavily moisturize and use a hydrating primer, and then use a damp beauty blender before this will look nice on my skin. It does not last all day, but will get me through 6 hours before it starts to wear off around my chin and mouth, even with primer. It has a nice sheen that doesn't look greasy. I'm still on the hunt for a good foundation. Love the pump.
