Love this blush! I love the colour. It has enough coral in it as well as enough pink. It is the perfect blend. The only bad thing is that it doesn't last all day. I have used much cheaper blushes that have lasted longer.
Great blush! it has a bit of bronzer in it and blends really well with my skin tone. A few of my friends have tried it too and it seems to compliment any skin tone very well.
This is absolutely the best blush that I've ever come across all these years. It's just one of those must-have products that I keep on buying over and over again when i'm done. If you haven't tried it yet, I suggest you run out and go give it a try.
It gives the perfect blush colour without looking fake and flaky. It's the best shade i've ever found. It spreads evenly on the face and gives a nice glow to my skin.
This blush is gorgeous. Not only when buying NARS products is it a sure thing that the quality will be wonderful, but this color is very versatile and gorgeous! I have combination oily skin and I was worried that because this blush isnt matte it would make me look oily, for the most part that was not the case. Although I tend to lean towards matte blushes, this blush made me glow without looking oily. This will also last forever because its so big, but I'm not sure if I'd want to dish out the money to repurchase this.
Torrid is the "orgasm" for darker skin. It's a peachy colour, not too bright or too dull. Gives a natural flush, and is very buildable. This is my everyday blush. Some blushes (cough....mac..cough...cargo) have great colour and pigmentation, but can give you the freshly-smacked look if you use a slightly heavy hand. Not so with Nars Torrid. I can do a very sheer bit of colour or build it up to look apple cheeked girly. Definitely recommend this to my friends.
OK i'm not a blush expert. In fact i never used to wear any...I tried a bunch and always thought it looked too much...too fake..I bought this a couple of months ago and i love it!!..I have a pretty fair sking especially in winter and i tend to look kinda sick.
I tried this in Torrid and i love it! It makes a huge. difference! i now look "healthier" Its a bit of a splurge but in my case was worth the money has i've had it for a while!
After writing some NARS reviews yesterday, I couldn't stop thinking of them/salivating over their products in my mind, so I headed to the mall LOL NOT very discliplined, I admit :-)
The saleswoman kept on insisting on Orgasm - saying it's the most popular bla bla bla, which I personally think is highly overrated and had by everybody. Which also turned me off it completely, even though I like the color and always have. And don't get me started on Super Orgasm. An orgasm of what? Tacky gold sparkles meant for a 12 year old at a sock-hop?? Hideious! *shudder*..... instead, I got this shade, Deep Throat, which is gorgeous. I must say though, I find some of the names NARS comes up with laughable LOL The woman even tried to sell me a Sex Machine lip gloss! Seriously, NARS?? Do you guys at the company actually believe WE will believe that your products are going to turn us into instant sex machines or give us a SUPER mind-blowing ORGASM?? I certainly hope that there aren't any women out there that bubble-headed *sheesh* I mean, they are marketing to intelligent WOMEN, are they not? Seriously, the ridiculous, boring & after a while predictable names almost made me walk the extra 15 feet to the MAC storefront.....almost :-)
Anyways, on with the product and forget about their juvenile, sex-laden marketing :-) Deep Throat (I'm guessing the people who name these products don't get much of any sex themselves, thus the stupid monikers) looked to me in the store to be very similar to Orgasm (Super Orgasm is UGLY with big gold flecks in it, which do NOT rub down - wouldn't look good on anybody). However, this looks a little bit more pink. I immediately took it out to my car and swatched it on the back of my hand. All I can say is STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. Kinda shimmery, yes, it definitely is NOT a matte blush, but the color.....I nearly had an orgasm looking at it haha :-) Their blushes can be deceiving because they are SO bright in their containers but can go on so sheer and beautiful. AND, if you prefer bacon strips on your face, it can also be built up to provide more color LOL But word of advice: bacon strips >> BAAAD! And I don't mean as in 'bad @ss either :-)
I just swatched it again now next to my MAC Mineralize blush in Dainty and one of my IT Cosmetics blushes I got in a holiday set to compare. Similar, very VERY close in tone to my IT blush - which is TOO shimmery - but Dainty is more peachy-pink, whereas Deep Throat is more pinkish gold in tone AND more pigmented. They both, however, have almost the same finish. Slightly shimmery/satiny, but not to the point that it will magnify every pore and line on your face, fairly sheer yet buildable and a super pretty, natural color. This is definitely a blush for every day, but can be applied more heavily for nights out or even blended with another pinkish-bronze or peachy-bronze color. Which is what I did before going out to dinner with my husband late last night. It shows up very well under low lighting without making you look like a drunken clown. There is also more product in it than MAC's product, a fairly significant amount. Deep Throat is 4.8 grams and my MAC Mineralize blush in Dainty is 3.5 grams. That's a pretty big difference and would somewhat explain the difference in cost between the MAC blush and the NARS blush. No, this is NOT a cheap blush by any means, but I feel I got what I paid for, which is often not the case when purchasing even high-end makeup.
Would definitely buy this one again. The container doesn't look large simply because they don't use a lot of extraneous plastic to make it appear larger than it is, but it is FULL of product. It's a beautiful velvety matte black feeling compact that fits in the palm of your hand, very sturdy and would not break easily, with a good quality mirror in it and the blush. That's it. But for all its simplicity, it has far better/high-end-looking & feeling packaging than MAC, which has no mirror and a much cheaper, less attractive plastic container with a lot of empty space under the blush itself. I gotta say, I love my MAC blush but love this even more :-)
Love NARS blushes, all of them, but find that Orgasm is far overrated. Especially the one with all the huge gold flecks in it. Will be picking one up this weekend for sure as I have been putting it off for a while now due to the price. But as always, I have finally justified it in my little head (will last forever, amazing pigment, little goes a long way) and will bite the bullet. Will add it to my collection of MAC, Smashbox, mineral blushes, etc. Why I even bother denying myself is beyond me, because I always wind up buying the products anyways. I am so full of it :-)
I love this blush. I was a bit skeptical at first but to be honest, the reason I like it, is that it looks good all the time. I can COUNT on it to look good. It's like the LBD of blushes, easy to use, easy to put on, looks good with any makeup I have on. I love it. =]
Decent blush but nothing spectacular! very basic, easy, natural looking.... slight shimmer to it, goes on nicely, smoothly, it's buildable. Pigmented yet sheer. Peachy rosy tint...
