It was the best lip stick I had ever had in my life. It was a matte fire brick color. Breath taking really, and the best part about it is that it looked good on anyone? From the most pale of people (aka myself) to a more tanned or lively color. It was obviously a bit more in price, but once you try it you'll know you've made a good investment.

The NARS Lipstick (I have the Matte) is wonderful...stays on really well!

I am recommending this lipstick purely because after 3 trips
to the counter the Nars people were still super helpfull. Nars flaminco shade is almost perfect.
Not to bright a red, not a berry and it didn't have too much blue or orange.
It mixes well with gloss or alone. Just blot a little for a stain during the day and reapply
at night for a darker colour. Not cheap but it seems to go with
almost everything if you are will to fiddle a little.
Be patient and enjoy.

My lips tend to dry out with lipstick but this lipstick did not dry out my lips. It wasn't greasy or heavy which I appreciate - the texture is just right. I like that NARS offers such a wide range of colours - my favourite is Dolce Vita which is a suitable daytime colour and a staple in my makeup bag.

I'm typically a lip gloss or tinted lipbalm type of girl, but I have nars lipstick in love devotion and I love it! It goes on very easily and has a great shine. The formula is creamy and the colour is very easy to build up. It doesn't have the greatest staying power, but I don't think it's meant to so I don't mind. All in all, a great lipstick!

I'm not a lipstick person, have always reached for pigmented glosses instead. Recently lipstick has made a major comeback, and if I'm going to wear it, it'll be this product from NARS.

The formula is smooth and moisturizing, and the colour sticks for long lasting wear. It does transfer to clothes and cups, but that is not a problem for me.

This particular shade, 'Rouge Basque' is a deep red very evocative of the 1920s era - it's a showstopper! I will have to contain my desire to wear it everywhere, because where I'm from you don't necessarily step out for a Costco run dressed to kill.

I love love this lipstick and highly recommend this shade in particular!

I have done it! I have finally found lipstick colours that work. Reds, plums, nudes (I have been looking for these for-ever!), even fuschia!!!!! Where did I find these delectable delights? Why NARS, of course. I am loving NARS lipsticks. Let me describe the dizziness that was caused by so much choice. I tried most of the colours available at the Bay and more than half of them worked for my skin tone. Now ladies, how often does that happen? I haven't even had that luck with MAC! I tried on a colour (Dolce Vita) that the salesgirl said that she only wears--she is blond and blue-eyed--and it worked for me. Talk about versatile.

I also revelled in the moisture-locking formula. I must have tried about 15 lipsticks and my lips were not left raw and scaly because of the addition of Vitamin E to the formulation. This lasted a few hours later when, after I had awoken from a nap, I felt my lips and they were still moistened. Gotta love that.
