Received this from Sephora as a Birthday gift. Very hard for me to find a good lipstick that actual stays on.. And this does the trick. I have looked at the price of this to purchase, and it seems reasonable.. Will re purchase when I run out

I received Nars velvet matte lip pencil in Cruella at Sephora for my free birthday gift and I am in love!

I have never tried a NARS product as I am a huge MUF and kat Von D fan.

I have to say this goes on smooth like butter and stays on the entire day. The only matte that doesn't dry out my lips, make them crack, peel or bleed.

I am very impressed!

Now I just need to save all my pennies to buy a tube! Until then, I will use this for special occasions.. Very high end look! Love it!!

Love this lipstick! It goes on so smooth, and the colour has really staying power. I received 2 colours from Sephora for my birthday . the colours I have are Rikugien & Cruella. Rikugien is is sofp pink/brown colour and is very creamy. Cruella is a red shade and it is a stain, but feels very nice and the red is actually a very complimentary shade!!! I will be buying these !

Usually I don’t like calling out bad products. I just don’t buy them again. But this time, I really have to make a point of the fact that I am so very disappointed with my NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

I bought the colour Sex Machine with the intention of keeping it at work as an everyday touch up item. Sex Machine is a great colour just in between pink and nude. Great for meetings and days in between Monday and Friday. I started using it on a Monday morning – I looked good, I felt good. But my Thursday I was over it.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil goes on almost like a gloss, with a bit of a sheen. But it does not dry like a matte lip product. The colour does not last but a few minutes. The more I reapplied, the dryer and flakier my lips became. Trying to add a lip balm only made things worse. Also, the colour stick started coming out of the pencil, like a cheap colouring pencil from the dollar store. I was like, “really?”

I bought this for $31.00 CAD at Sephora. For a such an expensive product, that’s made by a premiere beauty brand like NARS, it didn’t live to up all the hype and was not worth the purchase. Two thumbs down. Zero stars.

I have the colour "never say never" and it is a fun pink/purple shade. I like the size of the pencil and find the product lasts a good while and comes off naturally.

Got this one from Sephora as a birthday gift. What an amazing product. Easy to use and apply, is not messy. It beautiful matte effect. Stays on for a long time. I love it.

After using twist-up lip pencils (like the Revlon ones), I've been spoiled and it annoys me that I have to sharpen pencils like this Nars one. It goes on pretty evenly but does stick to dry patches (not too noticeable though). The wear is good, as long as you don't eat or drink anything. Otherwise, it's what you'd expect from any lip colour- there's transfer and it wipes off. For the price, I don't think I would repurchase

This is my favorite lip stick! I love the range of colors and don't like when my lips are shiny and sticky so this product is perfect. It lasts a long time and I only need a single touch up throughout the night, if that.

I got this lip pencil in color Dragon Girl. I dont like red on my lips but loved this matt velvety finish and color.
