While I'm currently a cell phone photographer, I have quite a few bits and pieces from mini flashes to different lenses sets and it's an absolute pain to transport them all while keeping them undamaged. Some day I hope to own a DSLR and when that day comes, I'm going to be prepared.

While this Neewer backpack is a little on the small side, that's actually to it's benefit, keeping everything small, tight and packaged well to prevent damage if your backpack gets jostled. It has various inserts which velcro together and can be adjusted or removed to create a different sized section for a perfect fit. I was really impressed by how padded these inserts were and they're certainly thick enough to protect delicate camera lenses.

Being waterproof is absolutely essential, one drop of water in the wrong place and you can ruin an expensive piece of equipment. So I was glad to see that it rejected water during my tests (see picture) and furthermore it has fabric lined over the zip, to prevent water even getting in through the zip. Very clever.

My only complain would be that the backpack fit very small in the shoulder and while my husband is quite broad-shouldered if you were as broad as him, but more well-muscled (think Chris Evans, Captain America) this might not fit you. But for all us normal sized people, this backpack fits well. I'm plus size and it even fit me, so it's definitely more related to shoulder width than your size.

Great option for protecting your camera.
