My sister talked me into trying the Neti Pot. The price is great, compared to other brands like HydraSense and you get a lot more uses out of the Neti Pot too..
You mix a packet of the salt mix with warm water, tilt head and pour into one nostril. I did this as the directions said, but my nose was too stuffed and nothing happened. Later I tried it again and got it to work, it was slightly unpleasant but when you get the hang of it it's much easier to do. When I was done I had the water-in-the-nose feeling like you get after swimming, but it didn't clear up my nose. Instead it seemed to make it more runny. My sister said to wait a few hours for it to work, but maybe my allergies were too bad. I have tried it another 3 times since then and got the same results.
    Nothing spectacular!

This is so helpful if you suffer with sinus infections, also great for the winter months when you get a cold.I do prefer the bottle sinus rinse from neilmed as its more powerful. There are packages of salt/soda mixture that you put into your neti pot and add water. Its also very easy to make your own solution.
    1 cup warm water
    ½ teaspoon non-iodized sea salt
    ½ teaspoon baking soda
    (Double for both nostrils.)
You can also add a bit of glycerin for moisture.I also add a few drops of rosemary/eucalyptus oil.Mix this up in your neti pot.Tip your head to the side and pour slowly the solution through the nostril the solution will come out the other nostril.I always feel like I have a stuffy nose for about one hour afterwards but it really reliefs my sinuses. Also dont bend over to quickly afterwards or all this liquid comes out of your nose!

Ive suffered from SO many sinus infections and really bad colds. During one of my last sinus infections that left my ears plugged for over 3 weeks and so congested, I decided to invest in a Neti Pot. I am SO glad I did, that thing REALLY works!!! At first, it does burn a bit in your nose (much like the feeling of pop going up your nose), but it is tolerable. Once you follow all the instructions and blow at the end, sooo much comes out your nose!! (yuck i know). It is such a relieving feeling!! I recommend this to anyone who suffers really bad with sickness, you cant go wrong!! Sometimes this mixed with an antinflammatory gives even BETTER results :P

I received this free from a free sample web site last year, but it sells for $14.97 in Canada and a bit cheaper in the U.S. I only just tried it when I got sick a few weeks ago. It says to mix the solution with warm water and then pour it into one side of your nose letting it run out the other, then repeat on the other side of your nose. It says it clears your stuffy nose right up, but that’s not what happened to me. I was able to get it to work on one side, but nothing would come out the other side. Some people say the Nasa Flo Neti Pot works wonders for them, but I say keep your money and buy some nose spray instead!

I received a free sample of the Neti Pot through facebook. I have allergies all year round so I thought this would really work for me in clearing my sinuses and secretions. The instructions were easy enough to follow and all you need is included in the package. I gave it a try and immediately felt like I was swimming and got water up my nose. The salt in the solution made my throat and ears itchy and I felt worse after using it than I had before! I find this to be very awkward to use.

I have seasonal allergies - and I have 4 cats! - so my sinuses get stuffy, causing me sinus headaches. I saw Dr. Oz recommending neti pots on his show one time, and thought it might be helpful in giving me some relief for my sinuses. Neil Med often has free offers, so I got a free Neti Pot in the mail (they are about $20 to buy) and after trying out the samples, I bought a package of the saline solution.
It takes a little getting used to. If I don't bend forward far enough, I get solution in my mouth, which won't cause harm, but is unpleasant. I also sometimes get a slight stinging sensation, like when you get water up your nose in a swimming pool. But it's not difficult to use once you get used to it, and doesn't take long.
It does help to make my sinuses somewhat less congested. That's about as glowing as I can get. I'll keep using it because it helps, but I can't say that it's solved all of my sinus problems forever. :-)
