LOVE it!

Kit Kat has to be my favourite chocolate bar, and I'm talking the classic regular one. So when they came out with all the other flavours, it's heaven time! This one is like the chunky, but with caramel, which is ideal. I can't really detect the salted part, which is good, bc I don't go for that.

Nice twist on a classic!

I’d never tried Kit Kat Caramel Burst & Sea Salt, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Kit Kat has a pretty tried-and-true formula that I’ve never thought needed changing, but the inclusion of the salty caramel inside the wafer is actually really nice. There’s not so much caramel that it’s spilling out of the bar when you bite into it, it’s actually not runny at all, but there’s definitely enough that you notice it. The chewiness of the caramel compliments the crispy wafer, and seems like a natural fit. The taste of the salty caramel is pretty strong, so if you don’t usually like salted caramel I would avoid this bar.

The bar itself is quite large (much larger than most bars of this type), easily enough for two to share, or to be split up by one person into 3-5 portions and eaten slowly. I would not recommend eating the entire bar in one sitting, as it’s very rich and probably too much for most people.

Overall I was happy to be wrong in my initial worries about this bar. I thought making a change like this to a classic chocolate bar would only make it worse, but it’s actually very nice and a new favourite of mine.

It's not the Original!

I love the original Kit Kat bar for the wafers and chocolate - but this version isn't my fave.

I'm not a big caramel fan, and this just makes it too sweet and non-Kit Kat like to my taste buds.

Husband enjoyed it though, but he's partial to sweeter cravings.

I'll stick with the original!
