I saved this bar for last expecting it to be my favourite but sadly, it was my least favourite. The cocoa bean bits added a nice crunchiness to the texture, but they also added even more bitterness to the already, somewhat bitter chocolate. It was too much bitterness for a straight eating chocolate.

I would use this bar in baking or as addition to a sweet dessert, but not as a treat on its own. (I'm thinking, crumbled up and sprinkled on strawberry ice cream!)

The idea behind this bar is a good one, but I think there are too many nibs. They seemed to interupt the smooth texture of the chocolate. This one also seemed to be more bitter than the rest. This was my least favorite of the bars. Not a horrible combination, but I would opt for the other three before reaching for the Eclat Noir.

I really wasn't a fan of this one at all. When I tasted all of the chocolates for review, I tried to eat the same amount of each, with this one though, I could barely finish the whole piece. Texture plays a big role in what we enjoy, and I did not like the texture of this one at all. The little bits of cocoa were a turn off for me. They felt very grainy in my mouth, like little bits of sand. I felt there was far too much in this bar. They really took away from the rest of the chocolate for me.

while i enjoyed the novelty of the crunchy cocoa bean bits, i found this product to be way too bitter for my liking. If you want a dark chocolate which melts nicely in your mouth, go for Nestle Intense...which i found to be satisfying smooth. The Nestle Noir Cerise was nice, as well, for those who want something extra (like cherry bits!) in their chocolate.

Like the other mix-in bars in the line, I felt the chocolate base was quite nice. I enjoyed the crunchy texture of the cacao nibs. I just wish that there would have been a detectable difference in taste between the chocolate and the nibs.

I wanted this to be a much more complex and deep tasting bar then it is. I almost feel like Nestle looked at it's demographic and decided that its probable buyers might be afraid of the bar and the whole idea of cacao nibs, and completely backed off from committing to the idea.

This is REALLY for dark chocolate lovers. The crunchy cocoa beans add a delightful crunch to the bar but also add a bit of bitterness to it. An unfortunate occurrence if you like your chocolate smoother. Although this wasn't as creamy as I would prefer, it was pleasant to eat because of the deep chocolate flavor and cocoa bean crunchies.

As I said above, if you are not a die hard dark chocolate lover you will find it bitter but not so much that you do can't enjoy it. I found the more you eat the less bitter it becomes which can be a good thing but also bad as you can plow through the entire bar before you know it. I probably would not purchase this after trying it but would not turn it down if offered to me in a social setting.
