Did not help my hair

I received this as a sample from.a beauty subscription and I was not impressed. It has only lasted me three or four times of treating my hair (and I usually only treat my bottom half of my hair). It smells like playdo, which isn't really what I'm looking for in hair care. The day after treating my hair, it looks good! However if I would not wash or re treaty hair the next night, my hair looks dry and like it nothing was ever applied.
