Love the scent
This serum has a very lovely light fresh scent which I love! It went on nice and smoothly. The product was great but the bottle was extremely lacking. I had a hard time getting the dropper to suck up any of the product.
Serum
I was surprised to find that this serum was almost more of a cream base rather than clear. Every other serum I have ever tried is more of a liquidy gel texture. The applicator didn’t work all that well, so I just dipped it into the bottle and put it on the back of my hand. The serum itself seem to work well. My skin felt hydrated and had a light glow afterwards. A little goes a long way!

Neutrogena Bright Boost Illuminating Serum
I wasn't sure at first how I would like this serum as I have never used anything like it before and I was surprised by the bright fresh shine it left on my face. I didn't hate it. Left face feeling soft and hydrated.
Packaging woes

I love serums in general, and having drier skin, I also gravitate toward anything that can give my skin some added radiance. This product is exactly that, and I found that it also seems to add some hydration as well. The cream texture feels great, and with continued use, does seem to be aiding in my overall brightened complexion (it's hard to determine which product is working best though, as I'm currently using the whole range.) Overall, I quite like this product, but it is not packaged well. The cream texture does not work with the pipette applicator, so you end up having to scoop the product off it. A pump-type bottle would have been much better suited.
Makes your skin glow, but wasn't my favourite.
I was very excited to hear that Neutrogena had a new line called Bright Boost. The majority of the time I am consistently desiring dewy or glowing skin - don't we all? And, I felt like I got just what I've always wanted with this line. I received for free the Illuminating Serum, along with a few other of the products of the line, and promise to provide an honest review of my experience.
First off, I was quite surprised at the consistency of this serum. It is more of a cream-like texture and wasn't opaque. The serums I am used to are not like this (they are more liquid and gel-like), so this was new to me and it was something I did not like. However, although I think it did a good job at improving my skin texture by making my skin glow, I wouldn't say that it helps with reducing "imperfections" as it claims to be though. I did like that it absorbed quickly, and that it has little sparkly reflectors making you glow.
What I did not like, and the reason for me voting less was the dropper. I really liked that there was one, but felt like it did not work effectively for me, and I personally think this was due to the other thing I did not like -which was the consistency of this serum. Whenever I pulled out the dropper from the jar, there was so much of the serum stuck to it and every time I tried pumping little would go in. I ended up using the dropper more like a spatula to put the product each time.
I felt like this was more of a cream than a serum. I also feel like given the price tag, I wouldn't say it is necessary or a must-have. I would recommend it, but personally I do not think it would be something I would want to use again. If the dropper and texture of the serum were to be improved I would definitely like it much better.

Great serum!
I expected this serum to be greasy and sticky but it wasn't at all. The consistency is much nicer than what I expected! The serum has a shimmer to it which makes your skin shiny but not greasy looking. It overall does what it says it will do. But if you're looking at trying out one of the products from this line, I'd recommend trying the gel cream first. I'm not sure I see the necessity to use both products unless you want to use a cream and serum in your daily skincare routine.
Pretty Good Serum
This is a pleasant to use serum, the texture is very slippery and it feels like a primer going on. The scent is nice and it absorbs into the skin somewhat quickly. I did not notice any brightening effects after a week of use.
I received this free with the product review club in exchange for my honest opinion.
Brighter skin
I tried out the neutrogena bright boost illuminating serum and noticed and improvement in my complexion for sure. I tend to focus on mosturizing serums mostly but i will be incorporting this in my skincare now.
Multi-Purpose Serum
Serum's are never missed in my skincare routine. Its unique texture is a good base to prep your skin for nightly moisturizer. I also like to use it as a make-up base. It gives the skin a nice deflecting glow beneath foundation or BB cream.
Not bad serum
This serum is unlike any serum I have used before. I am used to more oil based, and this serum was super creamy - almost like a lotion.
It has a soft, pleasant scent, and does glide across your skin to leave a silky feel. I haven't noticed any change in my skin with this, but I do like how it feels on my skin. #gotitfree
