Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser Reviews

Description

Effectively combines two cleansing steps into one.  This gentle dermatologist tested formula removes dirt, oil and make-up.  Then it removes eye make-up without soaps or oils that can sting or irritate the sensitive eye area.

Love Love Love this cleanser! Firstly it takes it all off in one go - eye-make-up, long wearing base, lipstick... so whether its a cream formula, silicone based, or a water based - off it comes! The one exception is waterproof mascara - which I just use a q-tip and water-proof eye-make up remover with. Second the texture - it feels light and foams well, and you need only a little to get the job done. When I rinse, my face feels really clean and comfortable: not greasy, gummy or tight. Bonus - its soap free, alcohol free, hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic (last one is most important to me). And thirdly - value - what a great product for a small price! It removes make-up effectively AND cleanses your face. No excuse for being lazy and wearing the make-up to bed! It comes in a very convenient plastic bottle with a pump dispenser which is easy to travel with. And it does a such a great job that I don't even think of trying something else.

I can't go a day without using this product. I have sensitive skin so I need my make remover to be gentle, but yet get rid of all my make up. It takes about 30 seconds to get all of it off and it doesn't leave any residues, like mascara running down your face. I only wear eye make up (eye shadow, concealer, mascara) so I don't know how well it works with foundation but I would imagine it would still be great. It's refreshing and it doesn't dry out your face. It is definitely part of my daily routine and one of the most effective products I've used.

I've been using two face cleansers for a while now and they seem to independently do the jobs I need them to. I have sensitive skin and have had a lot of allergic reactions to different products, particularly anything soap based (liquid bath soaps, face cleansers, some shampoos..etc...).

First off, the Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser is what I use to get the gunk off my face (the gunk I'm talking about: long-wearing foundation followed by face powder, bronzer, blush, translucent powder at times).
Yah, you don't want to know what I was using before I discovered this cleanser about a year ago! LOL. (I was using Oxy wipes which are not meant for face makeup removal). Anyways, this stuff really does take off all my face makeup! I was really surprised actually. For a short while after I first bought it, I would use an Oxy wipe to see if any extra foundation/makeup was not removed by the cleanser. But this Neutrogena cleanser never let me down on removing face makeup so I actually haven't touched my Oxy wipes in a while because I find it too drying to use an Oxy wipe following this cleanser.

In terms of removing eye makeup, um, it removes probably 70% of my waterproof mascara - at best, 90% of my mascara. It removes my eye shadow very easily (but heck, rubbing with your fingers will remove eye shadow!) and I think it does a pretty good job removing my MAC fluidline. But if you're like me and wear 2-3 coats of waterproof mascara (or more!) it might not work to remove that stuff. Soooo, I use plain Johnson's Baby Oil to remove my eye makeup and then I wash my face with the Neutrogena cleanser which brings me from a fully made up face to a clean face :)
