Not my favourite Hyaluronic Acid serum

I was excited to try this product and was sad to find that my skin had a harsh reaction to it after a few days. Not sure if it was the beads or the formula itself, but i do use Hyaluronic Acid on the regular so I'm confident it was not a reaction to that. It caused me to break out severely on my cheeks and jaw line.

Just an “Okay” for me!

So, I wanted to give this a real chance before I reviewed it in words. I have been using the product now for about two weeks solid, and I do like the product. It has made my skin visibly smoother looking which makes my make up look nicer. I use it in the morning under my regular moisturizer. And apply my make up primer a few mins later. The results have been very nice. So Far anyways. However I do think it is a bit over priced, when there are many products out there that do the same thing. And I do wish the actual product was just a bit richer in consistency. It does soak right into my skin. But then feels like I didn’t apply anything. I think I’m a bit torn on this one. I did receive it for free! And I am happy with the results so far. So I will use the product until it is gone and make my decision from there wether I would repurchase! Thanks though! This was a wonderful opportunity to try a product I wouldn’t otherwise have tried.

Wanted to love it

I received this product through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I usually love Neutrogena skincare, so I wanted to love this product as well, but it's a no go for me. I love the subtle fresh scent and beautiful packaging, but I find this serum to leave a sticky residue on my skin. It does not absorb well, and feels like a mask. For those reasons I will not be purchasing this product in the future. Thank you ChickAdvisor and Neutrogena!

Best suited to oily or normal skin

Lightweight serum that is best suited to oily or normal skin. Even with layer of moisturizer on top, I found this drying for my dry to very dry skin.
It has minimal fragrance which is a plus in my book. Also clear and free of dyes.
Used during Canadian winter weather on some spring like days and some snowy winter ones!
I would not recommend wearing this on its own as its not moisturizing enough.

Hydro Boost Serum

I didn't like the way my skin felt after applying this, almost a tacky feel but didn't feel super hydrated. I do feel like the next day it made my skin look pretty nice so it does work. The texture of the product itself was nice but the moment it's on your face it's an almost sticky feeling that I'm not a fan of.

Nothing special

I love the Hydro Boost line from Neutrogena. Unfortunately, this serum didn't live up to my expectations. I have no idea why there are little speckles in it. But I see no difference in how my skin looks or feels after using it every morning for two weeks.

Hydrate

Ce produit hydrate bien. La peau devient plus lisse. Par contre, j'ai eu une apparition de boutons suite à son utilisation. J'ai donc dû arrêter le test.

Nice Product

My first impression of this product was what a pretty little bottle it comes in! The product itself is very attractive, a clear liquid with little blue beads in it. It makes you think of water, which is suiting since it is supposed to hold moisture in your skin. When I opened up the product I thought it was super smart that it came with a little dropper to measure out how much you are using. I did not find that one dropper full was enough for my face and neck, but two droppers full was.
The product itself went on nice and smooth, it didn’t leave a residue or any stickiness. I personally did not notice any long lasting moisture, or a difference in moisture levels on my skin. I will try this product again in the winter when my skin is typically dry. I used this product with Hydro Boost Night Pressed Face Serum.
I like that this product is non comedogenic, as someone who suffers from rosacea this is something I look for on products I purchase for my face. It is also mineral oil free, fragrence free, and paraben free; all things I like seeing on a package for products I put on my skin!

Meh

I have always suffered from dry, sensitive skin. Now that I’m knocking on 40’s door, I find that my skin is more dehydrated than ever. I’ve only just started incorporating hyaluronic acid into my skincare routine and have noticed a considerable improvement. However, I wasn’t overly impressed with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Serum; it was just okay. I found it watery compared to my other brand. Because of this, I found it not to be as moisturizing. I also found the applicator bulky and tricky to use. Overall, I didn’t wholly dislike the product, but it is not something I would not repurchase.

Good for oily skin

I have combination skin that is dehydrated so I’m always looking for things that will moisturize without making any more oily. The serum is so/so for me. It’s easy to apply and sinks in well but I don’t find that it’s moisturizing enough for my dehydrated skin. If you have oily skin and just want light hydration, I think this would be good for you. It isn’t heavily scented which is also nice. There is a little tack at first but that goes away quickly. It also sat well under my night cream. This is just ok for me.
