Lovely but too much fragrance for me
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Pressed Serum Review Product gifted by @thisisbutterly & @neutrogenacanada for honest review. Unique pressed serum, like serum-cream hybrid. thicker than serum & lighter than cream. Use nightly wake up to hydrated skin X 3
PERFORMANCE:
proven to restore skin barrier overnight. Oil & alcohol free, mega hydrator purified hyaluronic acid. Antioxidants ease dry skin victim to external stress.
Claims suitable for all skin, non-comedogenic, but parfum high on the ingredient list, can be bothersome to some. For transparency sake, I read reviews complaining about swollen eyes or rash, and maybe it's from the parfum content?
EASE OF USE:
apply to cleansed skin, easy to scoop jar. Melts into skin absorbing quickly. Leaves skin dewy deeply hydrated in the morning.
EXPERIENCE:
Fond of this type of innovative pressed serum. Love that hydrates skin 3x more, oil & alcohol free. What I disliked was the parfum scent. The fragrance aroma is overpowering. Generally not a skincare fragrance fan, especially in leave-on facial products, but this serum scent is excessive. I would love this product if it was a fragrance-free unscented version.
RECOMMEND?
YES and NO! Enjoy fragrance/ scents in leave-on facial skincare? then Yes, go for it! You’ll enjoy this serum. sensitive to fragrance, or get migraines from scents? Then, no, steer clear of this fragranced version. Personally wont repurchase this formula unless an unscented fragrance-free version.
It didn't really do much.
Thank you @thisisbutterly and @neutrogena for this #freeproduct in exchange for my honest opinion. The Hydro Boost Night pressed Serum was used with my night time routine before I go to sleep. It has a soft subtle scent that is quite pleasant and the texture is creamy, not greasy or sticky at all. It blends into my skin evenly and is absorbed quickly. Although I did not experience any irritation, I also didn't see any real or long lasting effects using this for 2 weeks. My skin was not dry in the morning but no visible difference. 🙈🤷♀️

Just ok.
While Neutrogena has built a reputation for affordable and effective skincare products, their Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum unfortunately fell short of expectations. This lightweight serum aims to deeply quench skin overnight, but the hydrating effects were underwhelming. Instead of waking up to supple, refreshed skin, the serum performed more like a basic daily moisturizer.
The texture and application certainly hit the mark - the serum glides on smoothly and absorbs quickly. The generously-sized jar provides solid value for the price point. However, the heavily perfumed formula may irritate sensitive skin. Those seeking fragrance-free hydration may want to explore other options.
Ultimately, Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum gets the job done as an affordable, no-frills moisturizer. But for a true overnight hydration boost, continue searching for a serum that drenches skin with nourishing ingredients. Neutrogena has some hits in their skincare line, but this serum is not a stand-out. I was still pleased to try the serum compliments of Butterfly.
Glowing skin
I liked this product a lot and the smell of it is great. The only thing that I disliked is when you first apply it you get a little burning feeling from it but other than that part it’s great and does the job.
It’s okay
This night cream is okay, it offers some hydration but doesn’t really permeate very dry skin. The scent is nice , but I do prefer products more natural smelling. It offers some moisturizing properties but I don’t notice much else.
No change
I have using this as recommended since I received my package. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a change. I will continue to use it and hopefully it can change my mind. However, I have been using it on a little patch of psoaris that I have and have notice a huge difference. Its no longer flakey or dry!! 🤷♀️
I had a breakout
I had a small facial breakout after a few nights of using this Overnight Recovery Gel but to be fair, I'm not sure if it waa the actual product. The break out only happened after the second night of using it but it was moisturizing without leaving a shiny sheen.
Opposite of Hydro Boosting
I really wanted to like this product but I kept finding that it was causing me to have a dry spot at the corner of my mouth. unlike the other Neutrogena Hydro Boost products I've tried, this is the only one that was really scented. It wasn't too strong where I couldn't use it at all, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the added fragrance is what had to do with this slight reaction I had to the product. I will keep testing to see if it was something else, but this is what I noticed in the couple of weeks that I used the product and seemed to be consistent in the same area whenever I applied it. For me it had the opposite effect of being hydrating, so unfortunately I can't recommend it at this time.
Very heavily scented
The first thing I noticed about this cream is that it is extremely scented so if you are sensitive to smells, it might be one to stay away from. In terms of the actual cream, I found that it was thick but that works well for dry homes or during winter time. I probably would not use this in the summer as it is quite heavy but did not have complaints other than the scent. I only used it a couple times so far so I can't provide a comprehensive review.
Great Moisturizer and Great Bang for your Buck
This moisturizer is great for combination skin. It offers lightweight, replenishing hydration but dry skin will crave more moisture, making this product closer to a lightweight serum than a creamy moisturizer. However, it does pair well with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Serum.
