Like a drink of water

Hydration is the key to healthy, youthful skin. One ingredient that you will always find in my skincare routine is hyaluronic acid. I love that this serum helps to strengthen the skin barrier and preserve water, resulting in hydrated, glowy skin. This serum has a lightweight texture that quickly absorbs and without an sticky or greasy residue. After only 1 week of use, I am already noticing an improvement is skin moisture and smoothness.

My new favorite serum

I received this complimentary bottle of Neutrogena Hydro boost ultra hydrating serum from Butterly. This product is fragrance free. It's my new go to in the morning to give my skin the extra hydration that it needs before applying my makeup. I highly recommend!

Works wonderfully

I used this in conjunction with the hydro gel cream and I love how they make my face feel soft. I have problem dry areas around my eyes and T zone and I’ve noticed a drastic difference in my skin now. It is much more hydrated now, I used to have to apply lotion 2-3 times a day and now I don’t have to at all. I am going to continue to use and buy these 2 together.

Dry climate? No problem!

I received Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Ultra Hydrating Serum Fragrance-Free for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

This serum promises to deliver a “burst of weightless hydration for softer, glowing skin” (says so on the box), so I was excited to try it as I had just traveled from a humid climate to an arid one. The dry air usually plays havoc on my skin, making it dull and saggy. What appealed to me about trying this serum is the added amino acids and electrolytes.

After cleaning my face and before applying moisturizer, I used some of the serum on my face and neck. The product is entirely fragrance-free and lightweight, so it went on effortlessly and immediately soaked into my skin, leaving a pleasant, velvety feeling. Not heavy or greasy at all! My skin felt so fresh afterward. Although hydrating, I felt I needed to follow with a moisturizer, so if you have extra-dry skin like me, the Neutrogena Hydro-Boost Gel Cream Extra Dry finishes this routine perfectly.

I recommend this serum to anyone living in a dryer climate or who needs extra hydration to their face and neck, with super-quick results.

Affordable Serum

I love this moisturizing serum. Usually my dry skin is fine with just a face cream but this winter it is incredibly dry and I needed something more. I started using this on my face before my face cream and it helps moisturize my skin so much better! It is thinner than my face cream and goes on smoothly. Highly recommend!

So soothing and smoothing

Using this serum, I found my skin softer and glowing after just a few days of use. It uses hyaluronic acid and natural moisturizing factors such as amnio acids and electrolytes to help attract water to your skin and keeps you feeling hydrated for up to 72 hours.

A basic serum

I am not sure about this product. I have loved everything else I have tried from the Hydro Boost line, their cleanser and Hydro Boost Gel Cream are particularly wonderful and effective. The now discontinued body gel cream was also fantastic on the face (why did you discontinue this product Neutrogena? Why?!). The serum however is less exciting. It stung upon first application. It sinks into the skin nicely but I feel like it doesn't do much of anything really. It feels interesting when you first apply it, the texture makes it feel like it will be effective somehow, but I don't see the point? The Gel Cream from this line feels like it continues to work well after application while this dissipates quickly. It seems like a silly unnecessary skincare step, it does nothing for me. I am not sure what type of skin this product is for, but its not very moisturizing at all. Perhaps as a light layer of moisture under makeup? I have no idea. I will use up this bottle but wont repurchase.

Hydrating

I like my serums fragrance free, I have sensitive skin and some serums sting my face but this didn't at all. Used at night before my night creams. I tried to use before the hydro boost skin cream in the mornings but it was too hydrating almost like my face was wet for ever. So I used at night and it had a nice cooling feeling. Super lightweight and non oily.

Bye bye dry!

I suffer from extremely dry, flaky skin on my face and am always searching for good skin care products. I've only used this cream/serum a handful of times but already going to get the cleanser to complete the routine.
I was pleasantly surprised at the change in my skin so quickly. The product is light, and absorbs quickly. Immediately my skin feels quenched. And that feeling lasts all day/night. No yucky scents. I give it a full 5 stars!

Not too bad

First time I used this serum it stung a bit but my skin was also red and sensitized from over exfoliation. After that first use, it did not burn which is great! It’s the reason I usually opt for fragrance and essential oil free products. It’s a nice lightweight serum for dehydrated skin. I can see it working for both oily and dry skin folks. Definitely think my skin hydration has improved after a week of use
