Bonne protection
Not my favorite, but was ok.
I was given the opportunity to try the Neutrogena hydro Boost water gel sunscreen for free #gotitfree. I don't know that I like it as much as my usual brand. I feel like this just sits heavy on my face and leaves it feeling kind of greasy. It looked good under my makeup, but again it just felt heavy.. I also found it felt grainy, which I wasn't big on.. I don't think I'm completely sold on this product for myself, it's just not for me. Plus side, I didn't get a sunburn on my face on those days!
#cadeau
good sunscreen, not my favourite
I received this sunscreen free from chickadvisor to review. This seems to be a nice consistency and it worked well on the one sunny day we have had here (Ontario) since I received it. However, I have other sunscreens that I enjoy a lot more and don't have to work into the skin as much, so I don't know if I will repurchase again. I like the slim design of the tube, so I'll probably throw this in my bag for my upcoming Mexico trip.
Pretty decent
I received this product for freeform ChickAdvisor for testing purposes. It was a nice one. I liked the soft and lightweight texture, loved the fact that it's a gel with such a high SPF protection! My only complaint: it peeled off of my skin! I really felt like my skin had absorbed it alright, but once I had almost rubbed it all, it started peeling and a bit was left in my hands :[ I was very excited to try this product, but sadly I didn't get the best results.
I really wanted to like this one
I was chosen to review NEUTROGENA HYDRO BOOST WATER GEL SUNSCREEN SPF 50 through Chick Advisor and I was sent a free sample. #gotitfree
I use spf facial suncreen daily. I find the cream consistency a bit heavy for facial suncreen. The scent isn't too much but I did find i smelt throughout the day.
I find this product dries a little bit slower and leaves a bit of residue and a weird texture on my skin which is makes it more difficult to apply makeup.
It might be better suited for someone looking to try out a facial cream who doesn't wear concealer and foundation over top.
Mixed emotions about this
I received this as a free product to try and I have to say, I have mixed feelings about it. It does not smell like sunscreen that I normally use. This can be both a good or bad thing, I found the smell when first applied reminded me of alcohol, once it was on that smell went away.
It is non-greasy but it left my skin feeling strange. By this I mean I could rub my fingers together and they squeaked. It did leave my skin feeling hydrated so that's always a plus.
However I did still get a bit of a burn when using it (was outside for about an hour, it says reapply after 2 hours). Reapplying every 2 is kind of annoying.
Effective sunscreen
I usually use spf 70 sunscreen but this I found to be effective with 50. We haven't had much sun where we are therefore can't really say about much of effectiveness. The smell of it is pleasant and summer like. I'll probably buy it depending on the price.
It's the first gel cream that I've used with and SPF and it surprised me how it didn't irritate my skin. I love the fact that it's a 2-in-1, especially with the warmer weather around the corner, it's nice to have it integrated into the moisturizer. The product absorbs quickly and very well into the skin, and ihas a very pleasant smell. It doesn't leave an oily residue so that's a major plus for me!
