    Great texture and feeling

I recieved this item from chick advisor. I was very pleased with the feeling of the sunscreen, was not too thick and was a good light spread on the skin. Substance was very kind to my skin, did not burn or irritate me. Very nice product thank you!

    Works well!

Glad I got the chance to try this sunscreen for free through Chickadvisor. I wore it out on some sunny days and the sun is not that intense yet, but it seems to work well. Will be using this when it gets warmer out. Was surprised it didn't really feel gunky and thick like other sunscreens, which is one of the reasons I hate sunscreens. It goes on nicely, has a fresh clean scent, and feels more like a face cream. It's a bit expensive for what you get though

Good facial sunscreen with a catch

If there's one thing I say ON REPEAT to all my friends still enjoying their 20-something skin, is that SPF REALLY MATTERS Y'ALL! I'm glad one of the skincare rules I learned really quickly was to make sure I'm getting consistent SPF in my routine to prevent against premature aging and skin cancers.

So I was glad to test out Neutrogena's Hydro Boost SPF 50 Water Gel Sunscreen. I'm glad more drug store brands are providing offerings that rival the higher-end facial sunscreens out there for under $20. My other preferred sunscreen right now for the face is WAY higher and I'm always on the hunt for a drug-store version that delivers. The product promises a non-greasy, oil-free formula with hyaluronic acid that hydrates instead of drying out the skin application. And in this it succeeds.

No longer will you have to worry about looking like Casper after you apply. This one doesn't leave that oily film that so many others do, and if you apply it about 15 minutes before applying make-up, it's mostly pill-free for me!

All in all, not a bad release for the brand. My only complaint is the fragrance which is unfortunately the reason I'm not going to repurchase. But if you are less sensitive to fragrance issues, this might be a good one for you.

    Good sunscreen

After receiving this for free to test I used it daily instead of my usual brand. I am a very fair skinned woman. I tend to burn very easily and require a sunscreen every day.

    Scent wasn’t terrible. Was tolerable.
Overall texture was slightly more watery than I like for my sunscreen but definitely not a deal breaker.
I didn’t have any reaction to the product and didn’t seem to burn when I was out in the sun. It did leave my skin feeling more hydrated even after washing it off .
The real test will be when there are stronger UV rays during the warmer months. I will keep using it to see.

    Merci Neutrogena, j'adore !

I got it for free, good ⛅

I got for free, this sunscreen is advertised to hydrate and moisturize skin while feeling light and refreshing, has a quite light, thin texture compare to other regular sunscreens on the market, and spreads very easily so you don’t need to use too much. It takes a minute to fully absorb, but I dislike that I still felt like a film on my face, and did not like the smell. It can be use under make-up without a problem. The price is not but for the broad spectrum UVA/UVB with SPF 50, which it is quite high, it will give you a good protection I will recommend this product, but I know there are other sunscreens lighter and with non to very light smell that suits me better.
    Thank you for the opportunity.

    Love this product!

I love this product the more I use it. I love how it feels more like a cream than a slimy lotion. I love how it doesn't dry out my face or make my face oily. I would definately reccomend this product to anyone!!

    Fast absorbing, light sunscreen

I received a full size Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen (88mL) free in exchange for my honest review as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club #gotitfree

I've already started to see this line of products in drugstores around me and the price is very reasonable considering the formula and high SPF protection (50). Most of the brands that offer sunscreen specifically for your face have a much lower SPF and a much higher price point. I've tried luxury brand face sunscreens and I think the Neutrogena Hydro Boost performs almost just as well as the luxury ones.

The Hydro Boost water gel sunscreen absorbs very quickly but the consistency is thick enough to provide protection. It has a formula that isn't too thick to add a regular makeup routine on top. I went out on a sunny afternoon and felt like it provided great protection from the sun, especially considering my fair complexion. It is lightly scented just as the hydro boost gel is, so although it is hypoallergenic it may irritate people with more sensitive skin. However, I would definitely recommend the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel sunscreen to friends for its budget-friendly price, high SPF protection, and fast-absorbing thin formula, and I intend to purchase it again.

A different kind of sunscreen experience

As someone who wears sunblock/sunscreen all year long, I was excited to be chosen to test this product for free with Chick Advisor!

I had never tried a water gel sunscreen or one containing hyaluronic acid before so I was curious about this sunscreen's efficiency and its effect on my skin.

I tend only use physical/mineral sunblock on my face, but I tried this on my face, neck, ears and arms. The smell is pleasant and fresh (no fake coconut smell here!) and a little went a long way. I was pleased to find this rubbed in almost instantly and went on matte. My skin didn't feel greasy or look shiny and best of all, it didn't sting or burn my face. It also washed off nicely at the end of the day.

Since it's still winter, I was only outside for an hour or so, so I can't speak of this sunscreen's staying power re: sweating or swimming. I look forward to using it this summer.
