Would buy again as a good facial moisturizer with strong SPF

I was lucky to try the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen as part of the Chickadvisor Review Club. I have only used one other facial moisturizer with built in suncreen before on my face. So I was curious on how this sunscreen would feel relative to what I have been using before. The sunscreen felt light when applying it on my face and it did moisturize my face during the day. Another plus is my face didn't have greasy or white marks (this is very important as you don't want your face to look shiny or greasy). So overall, I would recommend it as a good facial moisturizer with a strong SPF to my friends and family.

Feels more like a moisturizer

This sunscreen definitely feels more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen, which is great. It absorbed into skin faster than a regular sunscreen and does not feel greasy. When taken off, my face felt very soft like I had been wearing a hydrating moisturizer. I like that it is SPF 50 because I don't use anything with a lower SPF than that. The scent is very subdued; it did not smell like anything specific. This sunscreen is a bit more pricey than other drugstore sunscreens. I would probably stick with this one for my face only.

The only major downside is that I accidentally got this in my eye (I rubbed my eye and forgot I had it on), as can be easily done when wearing sunscreen, and it kept stining no matter what I did. Rinsing my eye and using a cold compress did not work. My eye was in pain for a good hour or so. I cannot recall sunscreen ever burning that long before. For that reason alone, I would probably not repurchase this because if I had been out at the beach, that would have ruined my day.

I would totally buy this!

I got this for free to try out and I actually loved it. I really liked the texture of the formula and the feel of it on my skin. A little difficult to speak on the effectiveness as the UV isn't at its highest right now but I do like Neutrogena products so I think it will be good! I would definitely purchase this again.

Good product

I received this product free from ChickAdvisor but it doesn’t affect my opinions. I quite liked how this sunscreen was gel instead of the typical white cream that takes forever to absorb. It goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky or greasy feel to it like normal creams or spray screens do. I love that is SPF 50 because I burn quite easily so the extra protection is fantastic. We haven’t had many warm sunny days yet where I am but I can’t wait for summer because I will be ready for it with this sun screen

Wears great under makeup!

I was sent the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen SPF 50 for review purposes. I always look for sunscreens with high SPF and coverage for both UVA and UVB. This sunscreen stands out for me because it is very light-weight and feels less greasy than most others I've tried. It also wears great under makeup and doubles as a hydrating primer. I would purchase this sunscreen in the future and recommend it to family and friends.

good sunscreen

Although there hasn’t been a lot of sun where i live i have still managed to use this product as a sunscreen. I use this on my face to protect me from the harmful effects of everyday UV rays. I was really impressed with this sunscreen because it was not greasy and felt very lightweight. Feels more like a facial moisturizer than a sunscreen. I will defiantly be using this in the summer!!!

Non invasive

I love using sunscreen but sometimes they're thick and heavy for the face. Not this product. I love that it has the hydro boost and that the texture is thin enough that you don't feel like you're putting on a mask.
You barely need any product to cover your face or other areas that need protecting. The formula is smooth and it smells nice.

I really liked that it was more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen in texture and application. The effectiveness was great and helped me out while being in the sun.

good non oily sunscreen

Good sunscreen with hydrating qualities and a great smell. I have combination skin with an extremely oily T zone and I found this sunscreen spread out evenly over my skin, no oily patches and did not feel sticky which is a great feature to have for a sunscreen

Hydro Boost water gel sunscreen

I received a full size product of the neutrogena hydro boost water gel sunscreen as part of the product review club. The product comes in a squeezable blue bottle. A little actually goes a long way i usually use a dime size amount and that's more than enough for my entire face. I ususally use ombrelle on my face and I found the neutrogena hydro boost gel less greasy/oily so it is perfect for every day use or for use under makeup. The product is SPF 50 and waterproof so it's also good for a day at the beach or summer weather. The product is around 15.99 which is how much most facial sunscreens go for.

I would have to pass on it next time

I would have to skip this product if I was buy sunscreen. I found that it was to thin and it soaked in to my skin like water. I'm naturally tan skin and I found that my skin felt burnt after wearing this outside one day, like it never protected my skin from the sun rays.
