Easy to Apply Sunscreen

Out of all the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost products the Water Gel Sunscreen (SPF 30) was my favourite mainly because I was surprised by how much I liked it. I can be picky about my facial sunscreen, but I had no problem using this one for my face and rest of body. The sunscreen goes on great and the quick application made it easy to apply my make up afterwards. No sensitivity noticed, and the light subtle scent made you feel like you were putting on lotion rather than sunscreen. I would like to test its longevity more during pool season to see how effective it is.

Does not come in a big bottle so would get a little expensive if you were always using for full body but very easy to apply as it spreads well and absorbs quickly. I would recommend this product to friends and family members.

I received the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen SPF 30 free for my honest review of it.

This sunscreen is very light and sinks in really quickly. It doesn’t have an offensive smell and it seems to be nice on sensitive skin. It really does feel moisturizing at the same time as protective of the sun. Often sunscreens seem to irritate my eye lids and this stuff does not!

I really like this sunscreen and plan to keep using it all this summer!

I love that this is water based!!

I tried. The smell of this is too overpowering! The feel of it is amazing though. I've never used a sunscreen like this one before. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the scent.

My new favourite facial sunscreen!

I love how Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen quickly absorbs into the skin and doesn't leave a white cast! I also really appreciate how it doesn't make me look greasy as I have experienced with other sunscreens.

This gel type sunscreen feels light on the skin and has a non-intrusive fresh scent. The hydrating factor of the sunscreen also makes it stand out from the rest, because it is so comfortable on the skin and is a time saver as I can skip moisturizer if I'm in a rush. The moisture it adds to my skin lasts for hours and I also really love how it doesn't clog my pores.

Great light sunscreen!

I love this sunscreen! It’s lightweight, not sticky and doesn’t leave residue on the skin! All of these while providing sun protection is amazing! Definitely one I’ve been searching for

Non greasy, light weight

I am sensitive to the sun and sun protection is a must for me. I received this from the product review club #gotitfree and had the chance to test it out yesterday before I went out for the afternoon. With not a cloud in the sky, I knew it would be a good chance to see how it really works.

It seems like a small bottle but a little goes a long way! It applies really nicely, dries quickly and doesn’t leave a slick or heavy feeling afterwards like many spray and lotion sunscreens I’ve tried do. I wasn’t doing anything super active but found what I applied lasted me for the duration of my time in the sun without needing to reapply at all. It smells nice too which is a bonus!

I would imagine this would be good to apply before you put on makeup as well, or to mix in with some moisturizer. I find a lot of moisturizers and makeup containing spf protection feel kind of gross, pore clogging, or just aren’t the same as the regular non spf version. Because of this gel formula, I don’t think that would be an issue at all when combining with makeup and moisturizer.

I’m glad I got the chance to try this out. I will definitely buy more when I run out. I recommend giving it a try.

Best sunscreen for people of colour

I have been on an everlasting quest to find the best sunscreen for my skin. I have sweet chocolatey brown (think Issa Rae), combo-oily skin that swings closer to the oily side in warmer temperatures. In the summer I don't like to wear too much base makeup so finding a sunscreen that doesn't leave a white or purple cast on my skin is essential. I have tried the Neutrogena Hydro Boost hydrating body gel cream with hyaluronic acid and I really liked it so I was excited at the opportunity to try this sunscreen ( I received this product complimentary from ChickAdvisor's Product Review club).


Let me tell you Neutrogena did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this sunscreen, let me tell you why:


#1: It blends to clear on the skin.
* I was actually a little nervous when I first put it on my skin because it has a light blue colour to it, and I felt like it was going to be just like the other sunscreens that I've tried. However, once you blend it out it's clear. Like actually clear. I attached a picture to this review and you can see that it blends away to nothing. Also, a little goes a long way and it absorbs quickly into the skin.


#2: It is lightweight.
* I hate feeling stuff on my skin. I have tried a moisturizer with SPF in it and it was so thick that by the end of the day my face was just grease. I didn't have that problem with this product. The hyaluronic acid delivers great hydration to the skin which makes this oil-free sunscreen perfect for oily skin and it was really comfortable.


#3: It plays well with others.
* I used this sunscreen in a variety of situations and it rose to every occasion. I use the Cover FX Custom cover drops and mixed it in with this sunscreen. It worked really well and didn't separate or alter the colour of the pigment. I also used it with a glow serum for those no-makeup, makeup days and it worked just as well leaving my skin looking hydrated and glowy. I also used it with some setting powder on to top and my makeup looked fine.


#4: It doesn't irritate my skin.
* My skin can be finicky, especially during the transition seasons. Currently, my skin is just getting over its I-can't-figure-out-what-the-weather-is-doing-so-I'm-just-going-to-freak-out foolishness and is kind of sensitive. This product has a light fragrance but it did not irritate my skin. In fact, my skin likes it so much that I use it as my moisturizer. Most mornings I wash my face, put on my serums followed by this sunscreen and live my best life.


All in all, I recommend this sunscreen. At a price point of around $13 CAD, I feel like you can't go wrong to at least try it. It's great for sensitive skin, non-greasy and dark skin friendly. I believe that this is now my staple sunscreen.

Amazing and non-greasy gel SPF30

I got opportunity from Chick Advisor to try Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen SPF30 for free.
It is very lightweight , non-greasy sunscreen with moisturizer and doesn't clog pores. My skin felt so soft and smooth after applying it and the best thing is that there is no need to use moisturizer separately.As it's non-oily makeup can be easily applied over it.
It has very nice,fresh and pleasant scent which most sunscreens don't have. This small tube is very convenient to carry and will fits easily in the purse or bag or in the car's dashboard

This Neutrogena water gel sunscreen is awesome!

I was constantly looking for a sunscreen to work good with my oily skin and this is the one for me. It absorbs in a few seconds, it doesn’t make my skin look greasy, it doesn’t clog pores and it isn’t heavy. Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel sunscreen keeps my skin hydrated as well due to the hyaluronic acid in it. It delivers UVA/UVB protection for up to 8 hours. I use it for my face, hands and arms. Enfin une crème solaire parfaite!

Ce produit m'a été envoyé gratuitement pour l'évaluer et je suis très contente de l'avoir fait. J'ai longtemps cherché une crème solaire non grasse, qui ne laisse pas des traces sur le visage, agréable lorsque appliquée et qui ne brûle pas les yeux si par malheur je les touche avec mes mains après l'application ! Elle est définitivement devenue ma crème solaire de premier choix.
En pharmacie celle qui est FPS 50 se vend à 17.99$ pour 88 ml et définitivement le prix est juste. N'hésitez pas à l'essayer !
