I wish someone had warned me...
I needed a new facial cleanser and thought I would try something new. I have tried other Neutrogena products with some success and since I love grapefruit, I decided to try Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser.
The first time I used it, it seemed okay; there were no red flags. However, the second time I used it, the following day, my face had an extreme reaction to it. I didn't know if I was allergic or if it somehow caused a chemical burn. It felt awfully sensitive and had a rough, bumpy texture. It was like nothing I ever experienced before or since. I have pretty normal skin and my cleanser was the only thing I changed in my routine. I was afraid to put anything on my face until it went back to normal, which took a lot longer than I expected.
I feel it is my responsibility to tell others about my experience with Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser because I would hate for someone else to have the same experience I had.
Do not buy!!
I'm mainly doing this review as a warning to other women- do not try this product! After trying this and other items in their pink grapefruit line i received a nasty chemical reaction all over my poor face! After looking it up online i found dozens of other reviews from other women who had had the same misfortune and nothing but bad experiences. Again i dont even have sensitive skin and have never reacted to anything other than this face wash. Yeowch!
Use at own risk!
I have been desperate to find a solution for my acne. In my journey to find a solution i was hopeful when i saw this product. A week of using this, it dried out my face, it irriated my skin. It was not the product for me.
This stuff is HORRIBLE! I had the worst reaction; my entire face was burned and swollen after the first use!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT PLEASE! This has happened to a lot of other women too, you can check by making a quick google search.
