Only half the the results

I bought this product as I have some dark spots on my face that I would like to reduce the look of them, I am ever so hopeful of products that come out saying they can help. Unfortunately Neutrogena, I did not see any results of my dark spots but I did find my skin felt smoother in texture so not a complete failure. I will keep using it after the 1 week to see if I do end of getting any results.
