Fell short of my expectations

Firstly I love Neutragena products and regularly use a lot of their cleansers so I was excited to try this retinol oil out.

I did find that the oil was easy to apply and only a little bit (4-5 drops) was necessary for each facial treatment. The oil blended very well into the skin and didn’t just sit on top of the skin. However I didn’t really feel I obtained a better result from the fine lines on my forehead or crows feet I currently have.

It’s a nice product to use and perhaps had I used it for longer period of time I would have seen further results, but after one week of using it once per day I don’t really feel like my wrinkles have been diminished. My skin does feel softer though which does count for something.

I received this product free as part of a trial and these thoughts are my own.

Evens skin texture

I was given the opportunity to try this product free from Chick Advisor and Neutrogena. I have been using this product for approximately one week now and the product has a nice light scent. I have never used a retinol product before, and I tried using the Retinol Oil twice a day the first day but did end up with some redness. I decided to then try to start with using the oil only at night until my skin gets used to the product. I found that after a week the oil has helped clear up any dry patches on my face and helped with the overall texture and evenness of my skin.

Wrinkle repair takes time!

Got the free oil and cleaner and started using the oil right away. I didn't get the slight burning, stinging or redness that was a possible side effect.
I found the bottle very practical with the drops and the oil was easy to spread. After a week i haven't seen any results but i researched and it normally takes longer depending on your skin type. I'll definitely keep using it simply for the moisturizing effect.

Nothing special but not bad

I was selected to try this product out for free and it wasn't that bad. I know that doesn't sound like a raving review but that's because it isn't. The oil was kind of middle of the road. Absorbed well into the skin but not totally sure if it had much of an effect on wrinkles. It claims to make your skin look younger, not really sure if I can confirm that claim after 1 week.

J'ai reçu ce produit gratuitement à tester pour Chick Advisor. J'ai pu voir des résultats après 5-6 jours. Certaines lignes/rides ont disparus et mon visage avait l'air plus reposé. Cependant, après une semaine d'essai la peau sur mes joues est devenue très sèche. Je ne sais pas si c'est le nettoyant ou l'huile qui a fait ça. En lisant les instructions, je me suis rendue compte qu'il y avait une troisième étape, un produit hydratant, mais qui n'a pas été offert pour le test.

Skin feels great!

I have been using this as directed in morning and night after using the prep cleanser and following up with a moisturizer for the last week. Although I think it’s too soon to see any major results, I have noticed my skin texture is smoother and more even. I love the fact that you only have to use a few drops to get results and you can feel it working as soon as you put it on your face. I am excited to see the results of this product after using it for a longer period. Thanks chickadvisor and neutrogena for giving me the chance to try this product! #gotitfree

Nice and light on my skin

I was given the opportunity to try this product free of charge from Chick Advisor. This retinol oil had a nice fragrance and a lightweight texture on the skin. I noticed slight redness on initial application to my skin and mild itchiness, both of which were very short lived. I did use a light moisturizer with SPF after applying this. Upon repeated use I found the redness persisted so I switched to once daily use, at bedtime, which my skin seemed to prefer. This product performed similar to other high end retinol products that I have used. #freesample #chickadvisor #producttesting

Turns out, my skin likes retinol.

Let me just start by saying I have never used a retinol based product before. Being a woman in my 40s, I certainly have some skin issues. I tend to have dry skin, some sun damage that makes my skin tone a little uneven, and a few fine lines around my eyes and forehead. I was excited to try something that would address all these issues. I dont expect miracles from the products I put on my face. It took years to get these fine lines, so I dont expect any product to instantly change the way my skin looks. I do, however, believe that it is important to take care of my skin.
The first thing I noticed was that Neutrogena warned that this product might cause some redness, tingling, etc., so I eased into using the product by only applying it at night. I have to say, I loved how hydrated and clear my skin looked when I woke up the first morning after applying the retinol oil. Any flaky, or dry patches were gone within 3 days of using this at night! I did have some tiny whiteheads that would appear, but they disappeared quickly. I did not notice any redness, but I did notice that the tone and colour of my skin has improved. I still have a few fine lines on my forehead, but because the quality of my skin is so much healthier, they just arent as noticeable. I love this product. I am very glad I tried Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair retinol oil. It is what my skin needed!

Just OK

I've been using face oil for a while and I didn't really like the Neutrogena Rapid wrinkle repair retinol oil compare to others. First of all, the recommended 4 drops wasn't enough for me. I felt like I had to use a lot more to have enough product to put on my face. I didn't notice any difference on my skin therefore I cannot really tell if it is working.

Softer skin

I've added this product to my skincare regimen and have been using at mornings and nights for the last 7 days.
The package is beautiful and the dropper works great.
I was unsure about it since it is an oil and I have oily/combination skin but it feels super light on the skin and you don't need much of it as well. The box instructs to use 4-5 drops but I found that 3 drops are enough to apply to my entire face without leaving it with an oily feel.
I can't say if it has improved the appearance of wrinkles but I feel that my skin now is softer and glowing.
