Works but just ok!

This product worked well but I did not find it special. I have similar cleansers that I found to work better. I did like the mild smell. Not a bad product, I just think there is better out on the market.

Good value, effective formula

I enjoyed using the Neutrogena ultra daily gentle daily foaming cleanser, but would prefer this formula without any added fragrance. I think it has excellent value for the price and overall I would recommend trying out this new product.

I have sensitive and reactive skin, as well as eczema. I've used other foaming cleansers in the past and found them far too stripping for everyday use. I agree that this is an effective cleanser, but could be too powerful if you have very sensitive/reactive skin. I prefer it as a second step when I double cleanse to remove SPF and makeup.

Gentle but very foamy

I have only had a chance to use this product 3 times. I have found the formula to be very foamy and that is not for me. I haven't had it nearly long enough to know how it works on my skin. I wish I had more time to review but I started to get Butterly emails saying I had to submit it "urgently". It can take 1-3 months for skin to adjust and react to new products so I will not be able to post an honest review until then.

An okay cleanser

The lather was really good my biggest issue was it was almost too gentle for my skin type and didn’t leave me with a real clean feeling however having said that I think it would be perfect for someone with really sensitive skin .

Neutrogena ultra gentle daily cleanser

This is a gentle cleanse that lathers up easily and works well to remove makeup too. I have used this product both in the morning and at night and there doesn’t seem to be any negative effects on the face. Overall this is a good product that can be used every day.

An average cleanser

I didn’t find anything extra ordinary about this cleanser. It’s not bad but it’s not great. Left my skin bit oily but thankfully did not break me out. I would continue using it to see how it works for me in summer.

Smells nice, but is too drying for my face

Let's start with the packaging. I love the pump, which means I can easily get product in the shower or pump near the skin. This bottle is HUGE; this will take months to finish, even if you use it for a day. So I'm very happy for that, value-for-money is definitely there.
The scent of the cleanser is extremely light; if you have sensitive and reactive skin to added fragrances in products, this should not bother you. If your nose is sensitive to scents, this should not bother you. It's extremely gentle.
The cleanser is just a cleanser, it does not remove your makeup. You will need to properly remove your make-up and SPF prior to using this cleanser to get the full effect.
The consistency of the cleanser is a soft and milky, not too sticky and not a gel. I like that.
My only (but big) drawback is the PH level for this cleanser. It must be higher than a 7 (more basic that water), as my skin felt very tight and dehydrated after using it. That's not great for MY skin type. To compensate, I had to layer a few different moisturizers to regain moisture in my skin.
So, this has been demoted to body wash. Which I'm not complaining about, it's very nice on the body and doesn't dehydrated my skin there. But I cannot apply this on my face.
I would recommend this cleanser only if you are not prone to dehydrated skin.

Good cleanser

This cleanser is lightly scented, not overpowering at all. It is a nice consistency but a little on the sticky side (takes lots of rinsing to get the product off for my liking!). It doesn't dry out and strip my skin, which I really appreciate.
