This is a decent sunblock. It goes on smoothly and doesn't add much shine. It doesn't feel greasy and doesn't make my oily face worse! I find that I can use this under my makeup and skip the moisturizer in the summer and it gives me sufficient protection. I haven't had any issues with burns using this, but I still do get a tan since I get dark easily.
I actually bought the Neutrogena UltraSheer DryTouch SPF 110. Yes I know, when will I ever need SPF 110 living in Canada? When I visit the sun of course! jk :) I figured since they all cost the same, best to get bang for my bucks by getting the highest SPF I could find lol.
Onto the review: The price was fair, I paid about $10 at Wallmart which I don't think is too much for a good SPF. It goes on OK, it doesn't really go on smooth like a cream, but perhaps that's how it's supposed to be. If you plan on putting on makeup then wait a few minutes for the SPF to dry and go ahead with your makeup. It doesn't leave your face slick or oily at all, and it doesn't give the "white" ghost face when taking flash photos. Wears well under makeup, doesn't look cakey. I'm assuming it does the job of protecting my skin as I don't get burnt. My hubby and I went out a lot this summer and the first few weeks he didn't wear sunscreen he got burnt pretty badly. Not me though. Goes to show men should listen to their wives and waste the extra few minutes in putting on the SPF ;-)
All in all I would recommend this product as a good sunscreen.
I like this product because it's not oily and gross like other sunscreen. The only problem was the price. The extra money was because the SPF was 45 and the higher the SPF is the more expensive. which is annoying because 45 or 50 SPF is no more effective than 30 and they 45 was the lowest they had. The would recommend trying to find on sale because a little container can last a while.
I love this sunscreen and recommend it to everyone!
I hate having sand stick to me at the beach, and this sunscreen really feels like its not even there after a few minutes! It sinks in and protects me from burns, but without that gross "I have a layer of grease on me" feeling.
Another reviewer said it irritated her face, but that may just be a freak thing since I have pretty sensitive skin and have never had an issue with it. I have it in SPF 30, so maybe the different SPF formulations are a bit different.
Anyway, this suncscreen is the best I have ever used and is als not at all expensive. A great deal!!!
This is a great sunscreen for people who have oily skin and want a sunscreen that won't make them too shiny. The Ultrasheer Dry Touch with the lower spf such as 15 would make for a better daily sunscreen but this one is perfect if you will be heading to the beach or otherwise spending a lot of time outside. It's a bit difficult to spread and to rub in, and it may not work under all foundations in case you're planning on wearing makeup over it. Overall, it's a great sunscreen. No weird smell either, which is a definite plus.
This is a real staple in my face care regimen. It's an excellent daily moisturizer and sunscreen for people with oily, sensitive skin. Most sunscreens leave my face an oily mess, but this one actually controls oil, is waterproof and sweatproof. It does a great job of keeping my face matte throughout the day. If your skin gets dry in winter like mine, you may want something heavier than this.
I just came back from spending a month trekking around in the Mediterranean sun and boy am I glad I had this on hand. Knowing that I was going to be spending most of my days in the sun hiking about, I didn't want to worry too much about reapplying sunscreen every five minutes. With and SPF of 85 I was covered. I usually find most SPFs quite oily and greasy, but not this one. Neutrogena's UltraSheer goes on quite dry, almost powdery. The only complaint I have is that if I didn't rub the SPF in well enough, I would get white, powdery lines where I was sweating (like the creases of my elbows). Other than that, I would highly recommend this SPF, especially if you have a long day in the sun planned.
