I bought a more expensive lip stain (using some reward points) and then found NYC Lip Stain at a fraction of the price but with more durability and more colours. My only regret is that I just bought one at the time and have been too busy to pick up SEVERAL more ... will just have to make the time!

I found these at the drug store and the price tag was what made me want to give them a shot. I figured if I was only paying under $5 for a lip stain it was worth a shot, if they turned out to be horrible then at least I didn't waste a lot of money on them. Well let me tell you! They turned out to be some of the best lip stains I have ever used in my life! They stay on for a very long time! I do find they can be drying but they aren't that uncomfortable type of drying feeling that some cheaper lip stains give you. I would highly recommend these stains!

My friend gave me the tangerine colour a couple weeks ago and I became super obsessed with it. The colour goes on nicely and lasts quite well. I've used lots of lip stains before, and this one is by far the best - great price and awesome product!

This is my favorite lip stain that I have ever tried. I love how long it lasts as well as the various colors available.

I don't think this would last for 16 hours, but it does stain the lips, and it is pigmented. I also find the smell really refreshing. I really like that this comes off with water, but I think that this makes this fade a lot faster,

I was thinking about experimenting with some different lip colours this weekend, and grabbed this at Target, mainly because of the price and shade selection. The few other lip stains I've tried in the past weren't my thing, so I was prepared to be disappointed by this, (I was really just interested in trying out a new red shade on my lips).
The shade I bought (Rock on Ruby) is gorgeous, and definitely close what you'd expect it to be by looking at the packaging. It's a darker colour than what I'm used to and exactly what I was looking to try out, so I'm pretty happy with it.
I don't think these would last 16 hours unless you didn't eat or drink, or get anything else on your lips. However this does last quite a while, and does not smudge easily unless you moisten it with water or some lip balm, etc.
The colour goes on very smooth and doesn't look half as streaky or patchy as the other lip stains I've tried. The 'felt tip marker' applicator is easy to use, although I am hoping it starts to become a bit more flexible the more I use it, like some reviewers have mentioned. It makes me apply it more precisely, which sometimes makes me end up applying more layers than I'd like.
There is almost a slight tingling when you apply this, but otherwise they feel like nothing on your lips once they've dried. I do like to use lip balm with this, but when I don't feel like I have to, to keep my lips moisturized.
Overall, these are pretty amazing lip stain products, especially considering how much they cost compared to other brands.

Just bought this lip stain marker from NYC Color for $5 at Walmart today. I got the shade "Endless Spice" which is a muted, warm pink. The colour payoff is surprinsgly well for the price I paid and in comparison to other drug store brands Revlon & CoverGirl (which were around $8-9 for their versions). Only con is the felt tip does get rubbed down quite quickly. Going back and getting champagne stain or persistent pink!

I definitely recommend this lip stain for anyone looking to try one. Bonus of lip stains is they aren't sticky like glosses, still give you color like a lipstick but don't need to touch up as often !
