Extra red Apple glamour
In 2006, Nina Ricci launched the self titled Nina, a fragrance in the floral-citrus family that housed some delicious gourmand notes inside a bottle sculpted like an apple. The apple shaped theme has continued and in 2019, Nina Rouge was introduced as part of the Les Belles de Nina line.
Before this summer, lovers of Nina’s apple shaped fruit-floral scents are in for a real treat, as Nina Extra Rouge is about to bloom. Creative directors at Nina Ricci, Lisa Herrebrugh and Rushemy Botter, wanted to present the bright matte red of the latest apple as an expression of individuality in a new intense perfume composition for summer.
The composition of Extra Rouge is described as intensely gourmand, amber like and floral, that opens with a green top note of black currant to accentuate the sour freshness of raspberries and bitter-sweet grapefruit accords. The scent of slightly spicy tea and rosebuds blend in the heart while vanilla and praline come together at to emerge as a sweet, creamy base.
The bottle for Nina Extra Rouge is dressed from head to toe in a soft velvet red, while Dutch model Estella Boersma is the face of the advertising campaign.
