My boyfriend got me this as a gift a few weeks ago and I have literally been obsessed with it. I so far have Zelda Orcarina of Time and Pokemon X. The picture and sound quality are very clear. The 3D is a bit of an adjustment to the eye, but thankfully there is a button on the side to adjust the 3D effect. The battery life is actually really good, I can play for hours straight and it will only be at half. I really enjoy how sleek and how perfect the size is for on the go. You can never be too old for one of these ;P They're so fun!
the best nitendo held hand system yet the 3ds are amazing with now doubt it will become collect items someday!
I love love love my 3DS! It's so great for when you're on the go, perfect size to carry along in my bag and great to pull out when I'm waiting for something. There are so many games to choose from and the graphics are great compared to what they used to be on handheld devices. I also love that you can download a lot of games so you don't always have to carry the cartridges with you.
The 3DS is a fantastic portable system. Just like the previous DS it has a growing number of games for its library. As an adult the 3D factor of it wears off pretty quickly and actually gives me headaches if I have it on too long, but it is neat. The battery life is OK but not fantastic. Other than that this system has everything you could want in a portable gaming system.
When I first heard about the 3DS and it's 3D capabilities I was a little skeptical about how safe it was for the eyes. I purchased the Legend of Zelda 3DS that came with Ocarina of Time and was very pleased with the results. I don't use the 3D feature too much as I find with games such as Ocarina of time, where you have to move the DS physically while shooting arrows and things to be very distracting. Also you have to have the DS positioned at just the right angle, otherwise the 3D images are blurry and distorted. Now that I've had practice with it, itisn't so bad, but at first it was hard getting the image just right on the screen.
I'm also glad that you can play regular DS games on the 3DS as well. You can also download content from the wireless network much easier than on the DS lite, that uses and older wireless connectivity that is no longer used today.
What I wish was different about the 3DS is the charger. It comes with a cord and a little docking station tho charge the 3DS with, but the cord is not the same standard size are the DS lite cord. So if I lose that cord or the one for my DS lite, I cannot use the other to charge my handheld. But still, the 3DS is a good system altogether.
My son recently purchased a Nintendo 3DS with his birthday money. He absolutely LOVES it. It has the ability of playing select games in 3D but also with the flick of a little switch, keep the games in 2D for sensitive eyes. It has applications that you can add including Netflix. He loves being able to watch a cartoon on Netflix when he is taking a break from a game. With the 3D on I find the battery does not have much staying power, but just flick it off and your battery will last a lot longer.
