100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
bought this for my 5 yr old daughter and she absolutely loves it and wont leave the house when were in the car without it. I bought the lite because it plays old gameboy advanced games which I find is great because that means we didnt have to just leave the old games she has to buy new ones. also we can find old used games for it as well.
This is a great if you have a itch for games on the go. I personaly have one and i love it and so do the kids i find i like playing it when i cant sleep. There are so many different games to choose from and so many different acceseries to go with it. I enjoy my DS very much and recommend it to young and old.
I LOVE MY NINTENDO DS LITE. Its so much fun and have a huge game selection. Its portable so i can bring it with me when I'm on the bus and subway to pass the time on my hourly transportation rides. The battery life is great and you can also play while your charging it and has clear indications when its finished charging. I've had mine for several years and have not gotten bored of it yet because i can always switch games. One thing that i like is that you can play through wifi so i can play with my boyfriend when he's at his house and I'm at mine! Definitely a great investment and purchase! The choice in colors is just an added bonus!
The Nintendo DS Lite is a great invention for all ages. It is innovative in that it provides a touchscreen approach when playing. You basically use the little stylus pen provided to guide your character around or to play various features in different games. The avearge memory chip can hold about 5-6 games, depending on their memory's size. The DS Lite offers classic games such as Super Mario, Zelda, Sims, and many others. I love how portable it is. It makes a great travel item, especially on road trips. The DS Lite comes with a rechargeable plug and I find myself recharging at least every 2-3 days or so (after playing an average of 5-6 hours maybe). There are two screens: the top screen is only for viewing and the bottom screen is where you guide the stylus pen for the touchscreen application. They are big enough in size for you to see clearly and the images are in high resolution, making the gaming experience very enjoyable. It also comes with adjustable volume, which at its highest level is still very comfortable to listen to. The stylus pen is very sturdy and fits very well into a well positioned slit on the side/back of the DS. This allows you to store it away safely. As for the wi fi connections, you can play certain games with other players. I find this works best if your friends, siblings or family members also own the DS Lite and have the same games you have. Otherwise, you may find yourself waiting a long time to find an international partner to play with, if any at all. Some games do not offer this option, therefore you have no choice but to play on your own. However, this doesn't bother me so much, since the games are highly entertaining even when playing on your own. The one thing that I wish they would improve is the size or shape of the DS. I find my wrists and hands getting very tired or numb after holding it for maybe 30 minutes. So in terms of comfort, it can be improved, otherwise, it is a very cool and innovative product. Whether you are a kid, teenager or adult, you will certainly get enjoyment out of it!
I like the Nintendo DS! It's simple to use and it's fun for people of all ages. It's cool that you can play with your friends if they have DS' either through WiFi or "DS Download Play." It has two slots which enable you to play games that were made for the Gameboy and games that were made for the Nintendo DS. It's worth it to buy one.
I really, really enjoy this system! I need to find a friend who has one so I can test the wireless feature - I haven't been able to do this yet. Anyway, I have really been enjoying the games... a lot of them are made for younger kids so they go too quickly for me, but they're still fun. I've especially enjoyed playing Mario - I love the innovations of the touch screen they've added for certain elements. Of course most people will want to buy the DSi now that it's out, but I think the DS Lite will continue to do well for a while.
This is for sure gonna be a classic!
i'm pretty sure most of the people have already purchased one, but if you still haven't bought one, what are you waiting for?? Maybe it is a little bit pricey... but here's an idea. Shop at Shoppers and save up Optimum points, and buy a DS lite with your optimum points!!
I'm probably going to start saving up more optimum points to get another DS. The one I currently have is a bit damaged. When you're playing with the DS, be careful not to bend the top backwards too much. I don't know how I did it, but one side of the notch chipped off, and now I need to support the top with my hand while playing my DS... ya.. ghetto... but it still operates! It's so portable, and convenient to carry around when you're going on a little trip.. or even when you have a bit of waiting time.
As a two year DS owner, I'm happy to say that the system has provided me with hours of fun and enjoyment. I have many games for my DS, all of which I love. It is truly something that you can never get bored with. Some of my favourite games are MarioPartyDS, Diddy Kong Racing, and Brain Age. I mostly use my DS when I am in the car on a road trip, on a plane, or even at night just before I go to bed. The price is quite reasonable. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't is internet capabilities, which the new verson does.
I have to have my DS with me when I travel! It's a MUST if I'm flying! It kills time while waiting to board a flight and if I'm not interested in reading a mag, I love taking out my DS and playing Sudoku, Super Mario Bros, Sims, Brain Age, and Brain Challenge! I also have to say I get a kick out of hearing kids say, 'mom that lady has a DS'! There are so many DS games to choose from so you won't be hard pressed to find something that appeals to your taste. The cost of the DS is roughly $130-$140 though they are sometimes on sale for as low as $120, you just have to keep an eye out for the sales.
when i travel you bet that DS is in my pursh. it keeps me entertained and theres so many games for it.
