I love this thing. I have had it for years and have a few games. I always go back to it every now and then when I actually have time to play. I will have it as long as it charges.
Ahh the DS lite... The back-lit screen version of the GameBoy Advanced. Seriously, I will never get rid of my DS lite, no matter how many DSes they release. Don't get me wrong, I love my 3DS very much, but if I can play my gameboy advanced games in the dark, the DS lite will always be a top pick in my books. I grew up gaming. I have had the Gameboy (a red one!), Gameboy Colour (The pokemon one!) and Gameboy Advanced (Purple. Not special) and then I moved onto the DS lite (It's lime green!). I stil have each of these consoles, and all of the games to them and I like to go back and play these games often. The DS lite helps me do that during the day with no mirror images, where you have to angle the handheld at a certain angle just to see what's going on in the game. I've had trouble with that on sunny days where I could barely see anything except my own reflection in the screen. It is also ideal during the night due to the back-lit screens. It's great for car trips and while playing DS games, if you close the DS the game will pause and go into sleep mode, and turn right back on again when the DS is opened.
The con side to that is that this function doesn't seem to work when playing Gameboy Advanced games. If you close the DS the music and the game will continue to run as if it were open.
The battery lasts quite a while in the DS system, and charges in about two hours or so, like an ipod. I love having the DS with me when I travel, and would recommend it to anyone, kids, teens and adults alike. There are plenty of games to suit every age, and if there's a particular Advanced game that you liked to play when you were younger, you can be sure that you can play it in the DS lite, provided the internal battery hasn't gone on it.
I bought my daughter one of these last year for christmas and she just loves it. It is great for car rides and long trips. I myself have even played a few games on it.
The ideal game for car rides, trips and bring everywhere. The battery has a good time and there are really a lot of games for all tastes. My daughter loves it.
i love nintendo ds lite i love it . i play with nieces and nephew on it . good for kids to keep busy .
It was a good product at the time it came out. Daughter loved it but eventually out grew it to the 3D version
I love my DS Lite. I have the light blue one that almost looks like a light blueish teal.
It's a great system and very compact compared to the original DS. It has a lot of fun games as always. Nintendo is pretty much known for having some easy family friendly games and anything Mario is guaranteed to be a classic.
Overall this is a a great portable video game device that's easy to use from kids to adults.
Nothing like a few hours playing Brain Age! lol
The Nintendo DS Lite is a handheld console, it has one of the biggest, if not the biggest, game libraries of any handheld console. Graphics are good, they're a major improvement over previous Nintendo consoles. Battery life can range from 5 to 19 hours, depending on brightness and usage. This gaming product is kid friendly, and it's easy to learn to use. It is very durable, and for the most part pretty scratch resistant. This product really helped me teach my children about looking after and taking care of their belongings.I bought both my kids one of these, and we definitely got our money's worth from this product and more. I found my daughters the other day, I opened it,turned it on and it still works as well as it did when it was brand new. Great product !!
I love my Nintendo DS Lite, especially because it's a portable console so I can bring it everywhere with me. If I'm bored, waiting for something, I'll play on my DS!
