This primer is fresh, smells nice and provides a nice smooth feel to the face even without makeup. I think it's a great combo for the price. Yes, there are better primers and better moisturizers out there, but I sure love to keep the number of products to the minimum.
NIVEA 2-in-1 Moisturizing Primer for Normal Skin was a great base for my foundation and makeup and left my skin feeling refreshed.
I enjoyed using this product because it gets absorbed instantly into your skin and does not leave it feeling greasy.
It did not cause me to have any irritations nor breakout. I enjoyed the fact that it really moisturizes your skin well and makes your makeup go on smoother.
During the winter, with other primers, my makeup still does not go on smoothly because my skin can become dry. With Nivea 2 in 1 moisturizer and primer, I noticed the difference immediately. When applying my foundation, it went on silky smooth and I even was able to use less foundation as a result.
I would definitely recommend this product to a friend as a good primer is often hard to find and can be very expensive. I plan on purchasing this product again. I am glad I was able to try it for free!
J'adore !!
Je le suggère à toutes !!
Overall, I surprisingly enjoyed this product. Here is a summary of the major Pros and Cons:
Pros:
1) My face remained matte all day with no sign of an oily T-Zone whether with a high end foundation or a drug store version.
2) It absorbed into the skin quickly which allowed for quick application of makeup afterwards
3) I only had the chance to use to the product for 3 days as it arrived late but I have no signs of any break-outs as of yet.
Cons:
1) The perfume smell is quite strong at first and very artificial. Gave me a small headache at times as the sent sticks around for a while.
2) My foundation didn't last all day like it would with my usual primer. By 4pm the redness in my skin would start to show as if the foundation just disappeared off my face ( I tried both high end and drug store products),
3) The moisture aspect of the cream isn't strong enough for winter months (my dry cheeks felt tight as of the 3rd day of application), I think this cream would work in the warmer months.
The fact that the primer aspect didn't allow my makeup to last all day (even though my skin showed no signs of getting oily which in itself is huge!), I didn't think it deserved higher than a 4/5 as half the purpose of the cream didn't live up to my expectations. It'll probably my go-to in the summer months when all i wear is a tinted moisturizer.
I received this product for free through Chick Advisor a few days ago.

I received this free through Chick Advisor a few days ago in the mail and was very excited to try it. Silicone based primers generally break me out. My skin is odd - my face is mostly on the dry side, but my t-zone gets very oily throughout the day.
This product has a very strong smell... It doesn't smell bad but it has a very strong perfume smell to it, like a feminine aftershave or cologne. I prefer unscented or lightly scented, but am not super sensitive to it. If you are sensitive to fragrance, you might want to skip this one because it's very strong.
The texture is really nice - feels like a nice light weight moisturizer and absorbs into the skin really well with no greasy feeling. It leaves a soft and silky finish on the skin which helps makeup apply nicely. It doesn't fill pores at all so this is something to skip if you're looking for pore filling/texture smoothing. There's tapioca starch in it which I think is really interesting... I feel like that's what gives the skin such a silky soft feel. There are some silicones in it but they seem different than the typical silicone-based primer and isn't super slippery or oily-feeling. Again, my skin is on the dry side and I think I would have appreciated a more hydrating product.
My makeup stayed on pretty well throughout the day and didn't make my skin react, although it could be too early to tell. I wish it had more of a blurring effect on the skin and that the fragrance wasn't so strong.
It's not a bad product and I would recommend this to people who don't have major skin issues/texture issues that need a little something that doubles as a primer as well as a moisturizer. I plan on using the rest of it but I don't think I would purchase it myself.
NIVEA 2-in-1 Moisturizing Primer for Normal Skin made my skin ready for makeup like a fresh hydrated canvas. I received this product from ChickAdvisor for free. I tried it with and without moisturizer beforehand and honestly, I believe you can skip moisturizer if you don't have dry or sensitive skin. Both ways kept my skin hydrated and well prepared for my makeup application, so I believe this product really does what it claims. The cream is soft and very easy to blend into the skin. I would give this an extra star if this moisturizing primer has SPF in it because then I would be able to skip sunscreen as well.
If you are tired of using NIVEA men's after shave balm as a primer, I highly recommend trying this moisturizing primer as an alternative. My guess is that NIVEA realized many women used their men product as a primer so they innovated this product to the market to suit better our needs. If my assumption is right, thank you NIVEA for listening to your customers' needs and making this product available to the masses.

I was selected to try out the NIVEA 2-in-1 Moisturizing Primer for Normal skin. I #gotitfree.
NIVEA 2-in-1 Moisturizing Primer for Normal Skin did a great job of leaving my skin matte and ready for my press powder or highlighter.
I have combo skin and my skin can get shiny on my nose and chin. This didn't happen when I used this and it lasted all day long.
It does have a slight smell but it is not strong and I found it pleasant. It has a gel like formula that quickly dries on the skin and leaves a soft, matte powdery finish. There is no colour and I some days wore it alone.
I would recommend this.
I received this for free as part of the product review club. I only had 2 days to try it out so this is my initial opinion. So far I find this to be a great day moisturizer- for my dry skin I need something heavier at night. It looks like it would be wet and runny but it is light and absorbs fast. Really great to apply makeup over. For me this is a win-especially since a little goes a long way
A girl’s best makeup companion- Nivea 2-in-1 Moisturizing Primer for Normal Skin
A few weeks ago, I decided to join Chick Advisor. Chick Advisor is a product review club where you have the opportunity, after answering short surveys, to be selected for a product campaign. I was one of the lucky women to be selected to review the new Nivea 2-in-1 Moisturizing Primer for Normal Skin. Not only did this product surpass my expectation but it is now my best every day makeup companion.
In the past, some primers made my skin cakier, oilier or made me breakout after a using them a few days. This Nivea primer kept my skin well balanced and didn’t make my skin breakout! The only aspect that I noticed after wearing it for 10 hours is that my forehead became just a little bit more shiny (which so far I have not yet found a primer that last for 12 hours). I do get this result faster if I don’t wear primer.
After testing the product for 3 days in a row, I am happy to report that the application of this scented primer is very light, smooth and dries quite fast. The primer helped to moisturize my skin but also helped me to create the perfect canvas for my makeup application. You can see my first reaction to the moisturizing primer on my Instagram account (@elle.stephanie).
I would also like to point out the packaging of the product. Nivea added a picture on the side of the box of the real product size. I was quite surprised, but they got the picture perfectly as the container is indeed the exact same size. I also love how Nivea designed the container. It is very fresh, young, and I also like how there’s the little line of blue to differentiate the product from the sensitive skin one which would be pink.
In my opinion, Nivea came out with the perfect formula for 2-in-1 primer. I highly recommend it and I strongly believe that it will become every girl’s best makeup companion.
