I really like this lotion/cream. It's much thicker in consistency then a lot of other body creams, so if you prefer the souffle type formula this isn't for you. I find it very soothing and smoothing. It also smells lovely, nice and clean without a heavy scent, I like putting it on at night before bed.
I forgot how great Nivea cream is,I remember my Mom using Nivea and she always had a jar in the bathroom.I got a sample today in the cutest little container and when opening it up it sure brought back memories of my youth.I love the smell it has a nice clean smell. Its also really been great for my dry winter hands.I keep the little container in my purse and I've almost used it up.It absorbs really quickly into my dry hands and makes them feel really silky soft and that smell lingers on my hands. Its also great to massage into feet. You can also use it on the face but I think it would be to rich for my face so I will stick with my hands and feet. This creme has been around since 1911 and has been a staple in many homes.
The cream works great, my skin just sucked it right it, but my complaint is that is smells horrible. It smells very "clinical" almost like diaper cream!!
As a disclaimer I bought this first but now prefer the nivea light because it's easier to apply.
I used this on my face during the winter but I find my nose would get very dry and cracked. This was great but I found it very thick. I found rubbing it between my fingers it would warm up and sort of become almost like an oil and I would pat that onto my face. I did use it sometimes on my body but not very often. I'm not a huge fan of the packaging because it is in a jar I tended to strictly use it for face with clean hands as opposed to dipping back in multiple times for my body.
After running out of all my night creams, I wanted to try something cheap that would moisturize and soften my chronically dry skin. Nivea Creme works great as a spot treatment.
The cream itself is quite thick. It definitely reminds me of cream cheese. Using my fingers to "spread" this product all over my face seemed like a bad idea; I didn't want to overdo it. If you dab the cream in spots on the really dry areas of your face, you should be pleased with the results.
I am a HUGE fan of Nivea products and this is one of my favourites! Its a thick heavy cream (a lot like body butter) so I don't use it on my whole body ... I simply apply it to my feet and hands, after a shower and before I go to bed, and it makes them baby soft. Obviously being a cream it is very heavy and slightly greasy (like others have mentioned) but I find if you use it only at night, it does the job and you don't have to worry about being a butter fingers all day.
I use to use this cream when I was little. I totally agree it was a chore to put on everyday. Recommend trying something else.
