I really like how much lips feel after using this chapstick. It's smooth, easy glide and my lips feel good for a long time after applying. I would recommend it for sure!

I really liked this lip balm. There isn't any strong smell or taste. The packaging is very gender-neutral, so it can be used by anyone. I've bought some for my husband and my kids. The big perk to me for the kids is the lack of smell and taste as I've found when I buy cute flavoured ones, the kids lick their lips until they are even more chapped than before. Not with this lip balm. I put it on and they leave it on.

My husband isn't the type to use much in the way of skincare, but this looks basic enough that he isn't embarrassed to use it himself.

It isn't so thick that you can't layer a lipstick on over a light application, but it's thick enough that I can put it on before I go to sleep and still feel moisturized in the morning.

I think this will have a place on all of our nightstands for the foreseeable future.

This is my go to lip balm. It's a great price and comes in a great package which can easily be thrown (and found) in my purse or in my pocket. It moisturizes your lips and helps with the chapping. What I like best is the fact that it's not thick, particularly considering the benefits it produces. There was no taste to it either.

Good lip balm to prevent chapping when you feel like your lips are getting dry! Even my boyfriend liked it, which says a lot about the neutral packaging.

This is my holy grail lip balm. It does not dry out your lips and repairs the cheapness in them. Also its only a couple bucks and you can get a two pack. I will not use any other lip balm ever again!

You can't go wrong with this lip balm! At 1.99, it's completely affordable and so effective! Extremely moisturizing. If you apply it prior to your lipstick, it goes on so beautifully and prevents your lips from drying out. If you overapply, it can leave a bit of a white cast on your lips though.

Nivea's Essential Lip Balm has a great formula at a great price, and I think it is perfect for the upcoming cooler months!

The lip balm has a thicker formula consisting of various waxes and moisturizing ingredients like shea butter and jojoba oil. There's a light vanilla fragrance/flavour, and the tube is a basic white with navy cap. I think this -- along with the price -- makes it suitable for anyone of any age or gender (though note it's not vegan-friendly as there is beeswax in the formula).

I can be picky with my lip balms, and usually basic, inexpensive ones like this don't hit my mark, but Nivea's Essential formula is definitely pleasing. I love how it's thick, long-lasting, and doesn't have too strong of a fragrance. Do check this one out!

Nice essential lip balm is just what it says, essential. This lip balm is great value for the money. It goes on smooth and lasts. My lips stayed soft all day and even after I removed it. I haven't had any drying since I started using it. Basic product that does just what it promises

Scent/Taste:
NIVEA Essential Lip Balm has a subtle buttery/nutty scent and taste. It's very pleasant.

Performance/Effectiveness:
I suffer from dry/chapped lips, especially in the fall and winter months, so I was really excited to try this lip balm. NIVEA Essential Lip Balm is very easy to apply. It glides easily over your lips with just a light amount of pressure. It has a nice, creamy texture and it leaves a faint glossy coating on your lips. All in all, I thought NIVEA Essential Lip Balm was effective in keeping my lips moist and feeling soft over several hours, although its moisturizing properties aren't better or worse than other lip balms I've tried.

The Verdict:
I would strongly consider adding NIVEA Essential Lip Balm to list of lip balms that I currently buy. I have no reservations in recommending NIVEA Essential Lip Balm to a friend.

I have already had to buy more of this lip balm as my husband stole my first one. We both love it. It saved our lips that were so dry from a summer of too much sun. It is 100% our new family go to! My daughter has requested her own tube as well.
