I received these NIVEA Essential Lip Balm from ChickAdvisor for free so that I could give my opinion and review of the product.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS - After tossing my eos to the curb and wanting to get back to the basics just a classic lip balm that gets the job done I purchased NIVEA Lip Balm long before I was given this sample to try and review. It goes on really smooth and there is no over powering scent so I often find my husband grabbing it and using it all the time. He likes that it does not go on thick and gets the job done.

I received this free from chick advisor and it couldn't have come at a better time. I spent to much time in the sun the same day I received this product and when I say it soothed my lips, I wasn't fooling. Don't know what I would do without this, I currently use it everyday

I liked the scent and feel of this lip balm. It was not sticky and went on smooth. It kept my lips hydrated throughout the day and didn't feel goopy at all. It also gave a nice subtle shine, but not too much.

Wanna know how obsessed I am with this lip balm? I literally haven't used another lip balm since I got this. I use it at night before bed, I use it in the morning before my makeup routine to condition my lips and prep them for lipstick, I use it throughout the day if my lips are feeling like they need a little moisture. This lip balm is PERFECT, if you ask me. It's thick enough that it really lasts on the lips and continues to deliver hydration without slipping off and disappearing, but it's not so thick that it feels heavy. It just feels smooth and comfortable on the lips. It also doesn't have any methol in it, which is a preference for me. I don't really get too much of the NIVEA scent from it, but I do think it's subtly there in the background. I've actually been a fan of NIVEA lip balms for a while, but this one has blown all the rest out of the water. Yes, I'm obsessed with it.

I love the texture and feel of the Nivea Essential Lip balm. It is nourishing on the lips, does not feel waxy like some other lip balms. It is great under lipsticks and is quite moisturizing. It claims to last 12 hours, however that is quite an ambitious claim. The lip-balm lasted on my lips for about 3-4 hours, which is good! Would recommend this product. My husband stole this from me and now he uses it and loves it.

I really prefer Burts Bees to this stuff. It felt like it chapped my lips more than they were before! The price is right, but I wouldn't pay $1 for it.

I was disappointed in this Nivea product, but they have lots of other great ones.

Love the Nivea lip balm. Makes lips soft. It is not thick or gooey. Nice and light to use all year round great protection in the winter for chapped lips. Great for the whole family!

I had tried this product before, as I am a Nivea Lip Balm user since many years, but I got to revisit the way I felt about that particular brand.

At first, I would say that it does not taste good or smell good as other lip balm can. It's more of a petroleum jelly smell and taste. So nothing impressing about that.

But when you get past that fact, I could tell that this lip balm is very hydrating and it sure lasts long as it's stated on the package. I would find myself putting some just before going to bed and waking up the next morning with my lips still hydrated, not dried at all. That really impressed me.

So, overall I would totally recommend this product as it is very effective, if you can past the fact that it has a more neutral smell and taste to it.

Another product I was very excited to test out for free - as it's a lip balm I've been using for years. I use lip balm multiple times a day as my lips get dry easily from wearing lipstick all day. I used to use EOS products but they made my lips develop rashes and then I discovered this Nivea lip balm. It's great! The smell is really nice and it's not too thick. It hydrates my lips better than any other lip balm product I've ever used.

I really enjoyed trying out the Nivea Essential lip balm. It's a light weight balm that applies smoothly and does a great job of hydrating my dry lips! Not much of a scent to it, so it'd be great for someone sensitive to smells. I'll definitely be reaching for this as the temperatures get colder and the air gets drier. #NIVEAMustHaves #gotitfree
