This is a lotion with lots of hydration! It is nicely scented with cocoa butter. There is no doubt, that it moisturizes the skin leaving it soft and the skin looking polished. That being said, I am not keen on applying body lotion and immediately have to rinse. I prefer to apply the lotion and leaving it in.
Having to rinse twice is not practical. Too time consuming
I received this for free for testing purposes
I received this through ChickAdvisor, and was really excited to try, as I have really dry skin in the winter/spring. After the first use, I wasn't overly impressed with either how it moisturised or the slime it left in my tub. I tried it a few more times to see if it wasn't doing much because my legs were so dry, but I found the product applied in an almost patchy way, leaving parts of me greasy feeling, and not doing much for the dry parts. I think this is a really great product for most people, and it smells amazing, but sadly it just wasn't for me.
The shower body lotion was great the smell was not overwhelming. Mt skin was soft all day I absolutely love it and would buy it without adought . Can't wait to try other fragrance that it comes in.
Très bonne hydration. Cependant, l'odeur est vraiment trop forte. En plus, quand on rince, il y a une fine couche de produit qui reste sur le plancher de la douche et ça glisse. Le prix est trop élevé pour ma part.
Firstly the instructions do scare me a bit - apply than rinse off immediately! I'm not a 100% sure I was even using it right, do you rub it in like actual cream, or do you just slap it on and wash it right off.
I did go with the slap on/wash off method. It smells lovely, not overpowering just a light smell that lingered for a while. I did feel like it was keeping my legs from drying out (the primary spot I used it on) and this time of year that it a difficult thing to do all on its own.
However having said that- I'm not sure if I would recommend it. It works, yes, but it's weird. I feel like maybe you just need to moisturize with Nivea once you get out of the shower. I've gone with recommending it, as I feel that maybe I just over-thought the instructions to much, and it did indeed help my skin
The Nivea In-Shower cocoa Butter Body Lotion is probably not something I would buy all the time. I have mixed emotions about it. I do feel that it does a decent job at locking in some moisture as a lotion but not for 24 hours. To me it feels like I am putting on a coating of hair conditioner on my body or a waterproof sunscreen. The water seems to have a barrier once applied. They claim it to not be sticky and I agree with that statement. I also found that I needed to use a lot to cover my body. I also tried it out in my two daughters ages 4+5, as their skin is really dry esp in the winter months. Again I did need to apply lotion to their bodies within 12 hours after using the Nivea in-shower lotion, as they were dry and itchy. I would probably consider buying this product for our family, only in the winter months as that is when we seem to have really dry skin, and use it as an added extra moisturizer and continue with our daily lotion application.
So far so good. I just received it. My skin feels soft. Doesn't lose moisture. I can't say for sure if I'll completely switch over to it once it's finished. I have extremely dry skin so I like an actual lotion. It's convenient putting it on while in the shower.
I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I received this 2 days ago. I seriously wish I received this at the beginning of February. I live in Winnipeg, MB. I live in a house where the master bedroom gets dry. My legs get really dry during the winter months. Beginning of February, my legs got dry for the first time for the winter season (very unusual). I would have loved this at that time to see how well it worked. Now, it doesn't seem to impress me. Just an extra step in the shower that seems unnecessary for me at this time frame.
Winter is now upon us, where my legs are actually getting the annoying dryness. When I use it, my legs are fine, when I don't, I regret not using it. When I try to put on lotion at night, it hurts like crazy, so, when I'm in the shower, I see this on the shelf and I tend to remember to use it. Works wonders for me in the winter season. Works very well for me when needed most.
