Gentle and refreshing

NIVEA recently gave me the opportunity to test out their new Nivea Micellair Water for Dry and Sensitive Skin.

According to the packaging, this Micellair water is engineered to remove make-up, cleanse, and refresh the skin without rubbing or rinsing. Being a mom of three, I was pumped to receive this product from Nivea.


After a carefully orchestrated evening of basketball practice, soccer games, and gymnastics, I'm sometimes just too exhausted to get back up to wash my face once my head hits the pillow. 

Nivea Micellair Water solves that problem. I keep it next to my bed with a package of cotton balls so its easy to reach on those nights where I just need a quick cleanse. I love that it's all-in-one so I'm not juggling multiple products on my night table.


The product comes in a generously-sized bottle and it's super gentle on your skin. It looks and feels like you're putting water on your face and doesn't have that harsh alcohol scent that you get with toner.


Despite this, it still does an effective job of getting right down to the pores and removing all traces of make up and dirt. It's very refreshing and left my skin feeling hydrated without that sticky residue you get from other cleansers.

Great for sensitive skin

I #gotitfree as part of the ChickAdvisor review club. Cleaning my face has always been a challenge; do I deep clean makeup and dirt but risk my face to flareup with red marks or use a light cleanser but sacrifice a deep cleaning... I tried this Micellair for sensitive and dry skin and I was pleasantly surprised. While it did not get the "tough" makeup off completely on the first try, it did clean it up nicely without any irritations. My skin did feel refreshed and not tight, very moisturized and soft. The price is great and so is this product. This will be a staple in my nighttime routine.

This is the third micellair water product I have tried, and I love it! I recieved this as a free product to try as part of #Tessesfavourites
I find the product great to remove my days foundation makeup or give a quick refresh after the gym. It leaves no residue, no heavy scent and has quickly become a staple for me.

Great product

Thanks Chicken Advisor and Nivea for the chance to try the Micellair water for sensitive skin. I loved cleaning my face and neck area with this water at night. This product gave me zero irritation. My skin felt clean, soft and smooth. It has no smell and felt great. I highly recommend it, very economical and works really well.

Great value!

This is a great product! Although I'm new to miscellar water products, this product felt like a great introduction. It's very easy to use, convenient, and makes my skin feel clean; it adequately removes most makeup from my face, meaning that I don't always feel the need to use another product after cleansing my skin with this. I also really liked how this product didn't make my skin feel tense or dry afterwards, like with other cleansers! The price point and amount of product you get is great; I've barely made a dent in the bottle after using it regularly for a couple of weeks now. The only drawback I found was that it's not always the most effective with some of my more peskier eye makeup, especially mascaras. However, overall, I think it's a great product and would recommend it to others -- especially based on the price and overall effectiveness! For the most part, it does do what it promises. :)

Locks in Moisture & Cleans the skin! LOVE

I am seriously loving this Micellair Water! I love that it is very moisturizing for the face, but I also love that it can be used to remove even the longest lasting makeup products! I was so impressed to see the way it gently cut through lip stains without leaving my lips feeling stripped!
I was a little bummed to see a few of the practices held by the parent company, but over all I would 10% recommend this product to a friend!

Refreshing and No Water Needed

#got it free Nivea Micelliar Water works very well for cleaning dirt and makeup from my face. My first impression when I opened the bottle I wondered what was in the product as it had no fragrance to it and it was very light almost water consistency. But to my surprise it cleaned all the dirt off my face after working out in a dusty field all day. It felt like tiny bubbles popping on my face.

I love that you don't have to wash the Micelliar Water off my face. Usually cleansers make my face feel dry right after using them. Nivea's Micelliar Water felt so refreshing and didn't have me rushing to put moisturizer on my face. Gentle on my dry skin but strong enough to clean off those all day wear lipsticks.

This would be a great product for camping or any situation you wouldn't have access to water. A refreshing clean for your face no matter where you are!

Best Micellar Cleanser I've Tried

I really like the idea of micellar waters - no soap, removes makeup without scrubbing or rinsing. That said, I've never found one I've really liked. Nivea Micellair is the first that I would consider buying again. It removed all my makeup and my skin felt clean and soft afterwards. It also didn't have any harsh perfume to it and my sensitive skin tolerated it well. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same problem all micellar waters do - I need to use far too many cotton balls to ensure all my (minimal) makeup is removed. If that doesn't bother you though, this is an excellent cleanser. I will keep this stuff around for removing more troublesome makeup, but I will likely stick to my current cleanser for everyday.
