Effective Humidifier

I got this dehumidifier as part of a Butterly campaign and was really impressed with it. It did do a really good job at reducing the humidity in the room. Our room had a high 88% humidity and lowered it to 43% within 15-20 mins. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a bit loud if you are next to it and if your room is warm it will still stay warm (so it won't be releasing cool air and does release a bit of heat). The set-up was pretty straightforward with the app and it is great that you can control it without being in the room and can set a specific time for it to go on. It does have wheels so it is easy to move around, but it is heavy if you are trying to pick it up. Overall I do recommend it and think it is pretty effective

Improved Air Quality

I love that it is always running and minimizing the humidity in my room, the air quality is greatly improved, reduces dampness and musty odors. Maintenance is a breeze too, there’s an easy to drain bucket that helps with cleaning.

For someone who has many allergies, this dehumidifier is great as it controls dust mites and other allergens that thrive in humid environments helping to reduce my allergic reactions.

Looking good

Even with central air and heating, there are a couple of zones in my house that seem to have two seasons: dry as a desert, and tropical humidity. While we're in the dry season, I jumped at the chance offered by Butterly and Noma to try the Noma iQ 50 Pint 2-Speed Dehumidifier free in exchange for my honest opinion, because we will need it. My testing was done in the main part of the house, so it's not in a very humid area at present.

I like that the machine is easy to move once you have it on the floor you want it on, the wheels and compact packaging is better than some other units I have checked out that make it impossible for someone like me with chronic pain to move it at all once out of the box. It is not a one person job for me to move it from one floor to another, to keep the unit secure and pieces together 2 people are best.

Setting up can be done intuitively, though that won't result in an optimized performance. The manuals are very helpful, and for a handy way to get the most out of your experience, download the app and connect! I love that I can really set it up to my and my family's needs and use the app to get the best use without having to run up and down the stairs, or to course correct if not home.

I did not get a true test due to trying it when my house wasn't at its most humid, I will get a better idea starting in the spring how it will suit us over a longer period, and I hope to see good results consistently over many seasons. For the period I tested it now, it kept the zone at a consistent humidity without a ton of water accumulation.

Popping the tank in and out was easy, and the filet as well. They both look like they'll be easy to clean.

I did find the noise a bit much, this wouldn't be a unit I would place in a commonly used area if I could avoid it. Even on low, the white noise is like standing next to an air conditionner.

Overall, I am happy and can't wait to see how it does in my basement or the second floor humid zone in the summer!

Controlling humidity with a touch of convenience!

Every year around this time, my room gets a musty smell, and no matter how many air sponges, diffusers, or sprays I try, they just mask it temporarily. But recently, I received this NOMA smart dehumidifier. I control it with my phone using the NOMA iQ app, and it's been pretty great at reducing the humidity and getting rid of that musty odour. I appreciate that it's on wheels since it's quite heavy and that there's a light that remind me to empty the bucket. It's voice-controlled with Google Home or Alexa, plus, there are multiple timers you can choose from in the app. I set it to turn off at night as the fan is a bit too loud for me, even on the lowest setting. I can even check the humidity level on my phone and adjust accordingly when I’m not nearby. My only regret is not trying it sooner. This dehumidifier exceeded my expectations!

The dehumidifier was easy to set up right out of the box with step by step instructions from the Noma iQ app. The dehumidifier is on wheels which makes it easy to move around and empty when the bucket is full. It's a relatively quiet machine when on & works well at drawing moisture from our basement, lowers the humidity & accurately displays the relative humidity. It features a 35 pint internal storage & features 2 fan speeds, high & low so you can customize how it operates based on your needs. It has a convenient hookup for a hose so there's no need to worry about draining manually.

Perfect for this ever changing weather!

Absolutely love this! I suffer from asthma and this is helping so much when it comes to the weather! It is starting to get chilly and therefore the constant heat and temperature fluctuations are really affecting me. This dehumidifier is a life saver. It makes my room less stuffy and keeps the humidity I experience completely under control!

Easy set up with reminders!

This dehumidifier was so easy to set up. It provided me with set by set instruction with the dehumidifier and in the app that is required to download. Both made it so easy for set up. It weighs about 40lbs, and isn’t too bad to move. The dehumidifier itself is in great condition, and easy to start. The app notifies you when the bucket is full of water, it is easy to take out and dump. You are able to connect a hose onto the back as well (I did not need to do this). The dehumidifier is on wheels, so it is easy to move around if needed.
When the dehumidifier is on, it is a bit noisy but doesn’t sound any different than a fan being on. It keeps track of the humidity in the room you have it in and you are able to adjust the humidity to your desire.
Through the app, you can change and add rooms to know the humidity in each room. There is a timer on it as well, so you can set and leave it!
You can feel the freshness in the air after just a short period of using it!
