Perfect for vacation

Super cool!

These are super cool bulbs! I love that I can turn them on and off from the app, so I do not need to use them in conjunction with a smart plug. The 3 preset colour modes are great, as well as the ability to dim the light through the app. You can choose literally any colour you want to change it too, which is awesome. They visually look identical to the typical Noma bulbs, so they integrate really well with products already using those. The only con I have is that functions in the app are slightly delayed - I wish the colour change, brightness, etc. was more instant.

Great Product but a bit Glitchy

This is a great product. Being able to control the light and colour from my phone is such a refreshing thing. However, when I first connected the bulbs to my phone it took a long time. I had to uninstall the app and download it again.

Smart Bulb, no dimmer needed

This LED wifi light bulb allows you to be in control of your environment and set the mood you want. The NOMA iQ™ Smart Wi-Fi LED can connect with your smart home hub and use voice assistant capabilities which makes the smart home integration seamless.

In addition, NOMA iQ has its own app which further let's you set 'triggers' such as following the sun cycle or your own custom timer setting. Another great feature is the app allows you to adjust not only the colour, but also the brightness of the bulb, effectively bypassing the need for a separate dimmer switch!

Set up the bulb using Bluetooth and the NOMA iQ app. After all that is complete, the world is your oyster! There's so many possibilities, I don't even know where to start!

Lots of Colour Options

I like these bulbs. They were simple to set up and the app is easy to use. There are 2 small things that you should be aware of 1) There is a lag when controlling them with the NOMA IQ app - not sure if it's the app or if it's the bulbs 2) You can't seem to match the exact colour from one bulb to another.

Good Start to Home Smart

Easily downloaded NOMA IQ from the App Store and used with a wide range of NOMA IQ smart home products. You basically launch the app, register and install your smart product and follow the instructions within the app. You can create experiences/triggers within to automate and set routines and schedules for all your devices. You can also add all family members and share control as well as enable voice assistant compatible with Google assistant and Amazon Alexa.

These smart bulbs were so much fun and such a hit I immediately lost them to my husbands home office! With so many color variations, he took great joy experimenting with all the colours….more “serious” during the day and “party”vibes at night. He was able to schedule, control, and dim the lights from anywhere anytime! With a 15,000 hour life span. The girls definitely had their favourite pink shade!

Fun lights but a bit finicky to install

I was given NOMA iQ™ A19 E26 Base Smart Dimmable LED Light Bulbs, Tunable White/Colour 2-pk from Canadian Tire and Butterly to test in exchange for my honest review.

The lights were easy to install physically into our living room lamps, just the same as a regular lightbulb. I did have some issues pairing them with the app. They kept flashing and the pairing cycle wouldn't complete. My husband who is even more techie than I am (and I am pretty techie) finally got them working.

The light colour range was decent but it did take some time to find the right warmth of white for our room. We found some of the colours to be a bit off of what we thought they should be.

They did work well with our Google assistant. Ultimately, we've decided to move them out of our living room as they just weren't quite right for the space. I think our kids will probably love them in their rooms though.

Easy to use Gets the Job Done

So I've been using the Noma IQ app for a couple days now. I set up the smart bulbs and the smart wall plugs. First, making an account is rather straightforward. Nothing new there. Adding a device was simple enough, just use the plus icon and go throught the steps. You can add other users which makes it easier for everyone to control. There is customization in the form of rooms, naming your smart items. I found it a little frustrating when adding new items to rooms, it wasn't initially clear to me and trying to delete the room/name isn't the clearest. That said the app is easy to use and the learning curve is very short. It doesn't stand out from other apps of similar nature that do the same, say LG or Phillips. I do wish there was more customization. I have not experienced any problems so that;s good.
