I had one of these gates when my son had just started to crawl around and I almost immediately got rid of it and got a plastic version from another brand. This is so hard to adjust to fit different doorways/stairways and its not very secure. Not a good product at all.

North states diamond mesh wood gate pressure mounted is probably the cheapest quality gate that I have ever used. It is cheap price wise, but in my honest opinion it is cheap product wise as well and it is not even worth the price.

I definitely would not recommend it for anyone to keep a child safe.

My dog can get through. My cat can get through (and he hurt himself). Terrible quality gate. Does not work. We bought two and put on one top of the other to make it higher as our dog is large.
I guess you get what you pay for. Not recommended. And definitely not for babies!

Terrible. Flimsy. Anything can go through it.

Its a cheep gate. I used one just to block off the kitchen and it took a little while to make it work. It comes out easy but if you little one isn't constantly pushing or pulling it itll be ok. I would not recommend it to block off stairs ... its not secure enough. Id just pass on this and find a better quality one.
