I received the Fraser Valley flavour of Nutrience Grain Free SubZero cat food, and as with all new food, my six cats were immediately interested. I gave them a very small amount on its own just as a bit of a taste and they loved it. I then went to slowly introducing it into their regular dry food (Acana), and they still seemed to enjoy it. The more that I added, with less of the Acana, the less interested they have become. It's almost like the novelty of a new food has already worn off.

I really like the list of ingredients, as it's important to me to feed my cats a grain free food that isn't full of meat-by-products and extra unnecessary fillers, so I'll definitely stick with it until this bag is done. After that, I would probably purchase it again and feed it to them sparingly, as that is how they seem to prefer it. Making the transition permanent doesn't seem like something they would enjoy, but I would definitely recommend that any other cat owners give it a try.

I have 2 cats, Mittens (Senior) and Speedy (Adult), as well as a feral community in my yard consisting of anywhere from 4 to 8 cats on any given day. Mittens and Speedy eat Blue Buffalo Wilderness. They have several cups on the floor everyday of rabbit, salmon, trout, indoor, chicken (weight loss and hairball control), and weight control. Yes people think this is insane, but just as people like variety, my cats like it as well.They go through phases of wanting some flavours more than others, but they enjoy the variety. I give them this because it both keeps them healthy and gives them energy, as well as preventing weight gain and hairballs. The feral cats outside typically get cheap food, as well as my cats blue buffalo occasionally, or any top brand that is on clearance. Considering there has been so many as 30 in my yard at a time, top brands on a regular basis are out of the question!

After researching Nutrience Grain Free SubZero Cat Food, I was excited to be selected to try this on my cats. It has items similar to their norm Blue Buffalo, and none of the crappy additives, fillers, or preservatives found in far too many pet foods on the market! I especially like that they are straight forward regarding where their ingredients are from, and even more so that they are Canadian! Many pet foods market themselves as health conscious, and promote that they use only top ingredients, yet far too many leave out the fact that many of these top ingredients are shipped in from Asian countries and mishandled due to the extremely low bar set by governments! Many websites refuse to admit where their food actually comes from, and dance around the subject when asked. If it is not something I am willing to feed my family, it is not something I will be feeding my family!! My pets are my family and they deserve the best I can afford! I was thrilled to find another company that meets my high standards!!!

When I first received the bag from Chick Advisor, Mittens and Speedy were all over it! They both cheek-rub claimed it for their own and were excited when I first gave them each a bowl to try. I was blown away at how much they LOVED this food!! It is rare that I see them both desire the same item, and even more rare that they devour the entire dish in a matter of minutes! My family and I gathered around to watch them, as the sight was absolutely hilarious!!

Unfortunately, the excitement and fascination with this new food only happened that one time! It baffles my mind that something they both truly enjoyed, is something they seem to never want to touch again! I have even tried placing some treats on top in hopes that they will at least eat a little bit more, but they just eat the treats, and when it gets down to the Nutrience, they pick out whatever treats are left and eat them off the floor! This is completely out of their nature! I have NEVER EVER seen anything like this before! They still have a fresh cup of Nutrience Grain Free SubZero put out for them each day. They both sniff it, and go back to their Blue Buffalo Wilderness! I wish I could ask them what this reaction is about, because I am completely baffled!

The ferals outside also went bonkers for this food the first time they tried it! Unlike my indoor cats, the ferals have continued to eat the Nutrience, along with their other foods. Being feral and being given lower quality foods more often than not, I believe they recognize this as a higher quality product. They ALWAYS clear their plates when this is given, unlike their cheap food that they now leave in the dish then knock on the door or window as if it is all gone in hopes of something better. lol. As my dad says, "I guess beggars can be choosers!". Hahaha!! Given that they are feral, it is hard to truly review this product from their perspective since it is a comparison to the lower quality foods they typically get, unlike my indoor cats that receive Blue Buffalo. That being said, my review on the ferals behalf is that it is a major hit! I am thankful on their behalf for receiving this food, for allowing me to provide them with proper nutrition, and giving them a taste of the better life.

I rated this product 5 stars for Quality because it is a high-standard, high quality food! What you see is what you get, and what you get is worth every penny if your cats enjoy it!

I rated this product 5 stars for Effectiveness as I have seen a change in the overall health and well-being of the feral cats. Especially since it is winter time, it is nice to see them with thicker, softer, and healthier-looking coats. Their eyes are so much brighter! They exude less feral bahaviors such as fear and aggression. They have (unfortunately) also made friends with a skunk who now believes itself to be a cat! lol. We put a bit of food out for them at night and the skunk comes over a few nights a week and also devours the Nutrience food along with them!! It is hysterical to watch 2 cats play with a skunk in my yard!! Thankfully the skunk never sprays!! I truly believe the thing thinks it is a cat! haha! Well done Nutrience.. Well done! lol! Additionally, I don't think I have ever seen a skunk so energetic or playful! You should see the stinker charge down the street! Hahahaaaa!!!!! HYSTERICAL!!!!!! "Coming soon to a PetSmart near you.. Nutrience Grain Free SubZero CAT AND SKUNK food!" hahaha!!!!!

Lastly, I gave this product a 3 for Price. After seeing it on shelves at PetSmart, Nutrience Grain Free SubZero Cat Food is about the same price I pay for Blue Buffalo Wilderness. So, listing it in the higher quality = higher price category, this product is average for a food of its caliber. The price at PetSmart for the 5.5lb bag is $29.99, and the 11lb bag is $49.99. At least at these high prices, you know you are paying for true quality, and ensuring both the health and overall life of your cat!

I would recommend cat owners try this product because of the high quality and effectiveness. I know that if you purchase it from PetSmart and your cat does not like it, you can return or exchange it. It is definitely worth a shot.

The reason I most likely will not purchase this product again is solely because it would be only for the ferals outside, and there is no way I can afford to purchase Blue Buffalo for Mittens and Speedy inside, and this for the ferals outside!

My cat easily made the transition from her regular food (Costco brand) to this. No issues with upset tummy, no changes with litter habits.

She's happy to eat it, comes running as soon as we pour her bowl full and we're happy that it doesn't smell weird.

Really wanted to love this food. Has great ingredients and looked to be a great alternative to my mini jungle cat's current food - blue buffalo wilderness. My little Miss has never been picky and is happy to gobble anything put in front of her. But this was a different story. After 2-weeks she will nibble a little bit here and there, but her current food wins out even when the nutrience is the only option.Going to keep trying, but I have a feeling the rest of the bag will be going to our local rescue.

That being said, both the cat and the dumb dog LOVED the box. They were trying to get into it even before we opened it! Lol!

I got this sample, and wow, my 2 cats love it. I didn't really have to transition too much, the cats went for the Nutrience so easily and fast. I like the fact the ingredients are Canadian and it's made it Canada. I'll be buying it from now on.

Our senior cat Cali has been enjoying this new food as a treat mixed into her usual food. She even picks out the new food from her bowl first. The healthy ingredients look amazing. Substance and quality! Other foods have made her vomit but this has been easy on her tummy. We feel good about giving her Nutrience.

I received a bag of the grain free cat food. I only feed my cat grain free products due to an allergy of some kind, so this worked out great. Normally I would not have purchased this product due to its high price, at least by my standards, however after seeing my cat love it, It's changed my mind. Since I got the box, even before I opened the box, she knew what ever was in it was for her. I think she could smell it, and was trying to open the box!! I originally mixes it with her other cat food, but, she ended picking out every piece of the Nutrience food and not touching the other in her dish!! When all the Nutrience food is gone, and the other food remains, she routinely knocks the bag over, and has tried to chew it open just so she can get some!! Very rarely do I see her enjoy a food as much as this one.
