My dog Sandwiches and I were very excited to try out Nurtrience Grain Free food as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. Sandwiches is a middle-aged Frenchie and has been on the same dog food (Origin) for quite some time.
We gradually introduced him to the new food - first as treats and then a little bit at a time added to his original food. He loved it! While he's usually known to leave food for quite a while after being fed, each time we fed him the Nutrience, he instantly ate it up and licked the bowl clean! He tried the Prairie Red formula, which is made with Angus Beef, wild boar, bison, salmon, herring, and cod. What a treat and a big change from his usual plain-old Origin fish formula. He seemed to really enjoy the different textures as the variety of the kibble pieces and the freeze-dried raw bits were a good change. I noticed him a bit less gassy than normal, and he had no tummy problems throughout our trial of the new food. We absolutely love that the product is made in Canada, as we're always looking for products made closer to home. I also like that it's prepared with never-frozen sources; a change that was definitely reflected in Sandwiches' enthusiasm for the new food.
The price of the new food is definitely higher than what we're used to, but now that Sandwiches is getting to the "twilight" of his life, we're aware that we may have to spend a little more to keep him healthy and active in his senior days, so Nutrience came at a great time to try. We will definitely be using the coupon we received for his next bag. Sandwiches and I thank you for this opportunity, ChickAdvisor and Nutrience!
My dog plus our neighbour's pup loves this! I think they are both addicted. They get so excited at meal time now and we don't have to add anything to entice them to eat.
My dog Terra did enjoy Nutrience. We have had her on homemade food so she really enjoyed the treat. I just went to purchase and the pricing was a little high (though I do spend quite a bit on her food). It was also a little difficult to find - with my regular pet store not carrying it, and having to call around to find it another city over. I will probably use this for awhile but will see how it is distributed before I know for sure ease to buy.
Thanks to ChickAdvisor, my pup received Nutrience Canadian Pacific Dog food to try. Here below is my experience:
-introduced the food initially by giving a few kibble treats along our walks. Dropped one on the snow and pup kept licking the ground (clear sign it was tasty!)
-Even though did the gradual food switch, bms were a bit soft at first, but to be expected.
-love the fact it is Canadian, let's get that straight. I feel happy about local products. First ingredient is salmon! I could read and comprehend all ingredients so another plus. I am not thoroughly well versed in dog food brands because i'm a first time pet owner - but Nutrience has freeze dried raw food! That's not only ingenious but gets an A plus.
- I personally like the fact that the kibble is tiny bite size, I believe that maybe helps with the digestion as well.
- zip lock on the bag works well, if the bags don't seal well then that impacts freshness. The kibble is crunchy which is a sign that it remained fresh.
-My pup is shedding his puppy hair so I couldn't tell if if the food directly impacted his new coat or not.
We thoroughly enjoyed the process, getting the well packaged and excitement generating product in the mail and the product did not disappoint! Thanks ChickAdvisor for this opportunity!
I was delighted to try the subzero dog food thanks to chick advisor. My dog had recently gone totally grain free as she is 12 and she suffers with her arthritis a lot since the start of winter. She definitely loved the taste of the food and gobbled it all up every time but I'm not sure about the amount of meat in the food as my dog seemed to not be satisfied like she usually was with her food and was forraging for food when she went outside, even went to eat poop even after 3 cups, which we is more than we ever feed, so just not sure about this as her only food source, and especially when its costs so much for such a little bag, maybe smaller dogs would get more out of it, I have a lab/ shepherd.
We have a fussy eater for a dog and he loved the Nutrience grain free sample. My husband and I love that it's grain free and made in Canada. Before this sample we were feeding out dog a grain free dog food, but he didn't eat it with much enthusiasm like he does with Nutrience.
Sam our dog gives it 4 paws way up!
I received the Prairie Red Nutrience Grain Free SubZero Dog Food for free to review. First of all, I love the natural ingredients in this. I try and buy wholesome food for my dog and nutrience fits the criteria. My dog is not a very picky eater but I could tell she loved this food more than others- she gobbled it up super fast! She is an older French Bulldog and the kibble size is just right for her. I think this is a great dog food, and even though it's on the pricey side I like how they offer a free bag for every 10 bags bought.
I received this product a couple of weeks ago for my 2 dogs and they are loving every bite. I this to them on its own or with their wet food and they really do enjoy it. I have noticed they are allot more active now and they are allot more healthy and happier on their daily walks. They go crazy for the small once the bag of Nutrience opens up everyday. I am very happy feeding this to my two dogs, as one has sensitivities to all grains and this product is grain free. I will be purchasing this again, once my bag is empty for my fur babies :)
I have been feeding my two fur babies, the Prairie Red Nutrience Grain Free SubZero Dog Food for a couple of weeks now and they love it. We were feeding them Acana but have decided to switch to this brand. When I first put it out mixed with their regular food, my girl picked out all the Nutrience kibbles and left the rest. My male took some kibbles out of his dish rolled on it for a bit then proceeded eat all the Nutrience kibbles up as well. I am really impressed with the ingredient list and the dogs seem to love it. I like that the kibbles are small as we have two chihuahuas. I have noticed they seem to have better breath, more shine to their coats and more energy . I would highly recommend that you let your pets try this food. It costs a little more but is worth it.
My dog loves the Nutrience Grain Free dog food, and doesn't tire of it if I also use it for treats throughout the day. She's always eaten another brand of grain free food, so while I didn't notice a huge difference in appearance or energy levels, I find that Nutrience doesn't have the same bad smell, and the size of the food is perfect for my small dog.
The only downside is that there are no pet stores nearby that stock the product, making it more difficult to get.
