I decided to try this eye liner a few weeks ago, since it was very affordable. I should of known better. I can't do liquid eyeliners, I'm better with a soft pencil type. Oh my, my eyes looked horrendous, like something out of a horror movie. I wish I had taken a photo and posted. My husband asked me if I had a blackeye!!
I really prefer liquid (or gel) liner over pencil. Easy to apply, and very bold.
This eyeliner has a learning curve to it, the brush is not as sturdy as some of the other felt tip brushes on eyeliner, and so I found it hard to line a very thin line with this. The formula for this is matte, but it is flaky, and does not last very long. If you try to fix mistakes with a q-tip, the eyeliner flakes off. When wet, this runs, and is messy to clean up.
N.Y.C liquid eyeliner comes in three colors, jet black, pearlized black and sable. You can create a dramatic look fairly easily with this liner and give your eye’s a well defined look, or just a fine line. What ever mood you’re in that day you can use it either way. This liner is fast drying and is smudge-proof so you can make fast work of the job if you have a steady enough hand. I have a bit of a hard time with it when I have my glass’s on, but other wise for an inexpensive liner it works fine. It also comes off really easily with eye makeup remover. Unless I find another liquid eyeliner I like better and is in my price range, I’ll most likely be buy this liner again when it’s time to replace it.
