This is the best inexpensive loose setting powder I have found yet. It works great for baking and lasts all day long! It's so inenxpensive at 4$, only thing is I have a hard time finding the product at stores here in Canada. When I do find it I try to stock up so I won't have to worry about running out again! Love love love this setting powder, no need to buy expensive setting powders when you got this!
This powder is a great price. I don't find that it lasts 8 hours but its perfect for just cheap fix when you need a translucent powder.
I really do like this powder as a finishing powder after my makeup is done. It's translucent so it doesn't add colour, just mattifies. It's super soft and blends in really, really well. It doesn't keep my skin from getting shiny for very long so I carry a pressed powder with me for touch ups.
I enjoy this powder a lot. It's wonderful to help set your foundation and concealer. I do find I sometimes have to reapply the powder throughout the day.
Great powder, it's very buildable without it getting cakey. Works as a stand alone product when you just want to throw some powder on just to do some groceries but also works wonders to set your foundation and concealer.
I got this on sale to try it out and I'm pretty happy with it! You get a lot of product for a fraction of the cost so it's great for those on a budget. I have oily skin and I have to re-powder about halfway through the day but given the price, it's definitely worth a try. It's easy to apply too much because it's a loose powder so I have to remind myself to tap off the brush a couple of times or else it'll look cakey.
NYC Smooth Skin Loose Powder is awesome, and not just for the roughly $3 price tag. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, which is set your foundation without leaving random extra pigment all over the place and it’s nice and light without a cakey finish.
My only quibble is the packaging; the lid does not screw on, so the powder is not travel friendly. The puff that comes with the loose powder is also not at all useful, so definitely use a brush or a powder puff purchased separately.
I have been wanting a good powder for a while to help keep my skin matte during the day. Since the ones I really wanted were pricey I had been avoiding the purchase. But I went into a Pharma Plus and found that NYC had a ton of products on sale for 1.97. Usually I have been un-happy with the brand in the past, but i figured what the hell at that price I'll try anything! I gave it a go today since my skin was especially oily in the hot weather and I was completely happy with the product. It went on so nicely, smooth and blended well into my skin most of the day. If you're out for a really long day though I would recommend keeping it in your purse to reapply through the day. However, when I accidentally smudged on too much blush it didn't correct, blend it like my other powder foundations were able to. So if you're on a budget I recommend it. If not i would stick to your tried and true product.
