Great for aggressive chewers!
We have 2 big, teething dogs and they absolutely go crazy for this! It's very durable. We have it in the recommended large but I worry about the size of the hole so next time I will get XL.
Never again
I gave it to my dog to distract her during a car trip and she really liked it. The problem is that she ended up having a lot of small bites from the product and was sick the entire night! I even had to take her to the vte.
Chocking Hazard
I bought the appropriate size and shaped bond fr my 2 year old pup and it lasted all of 25 seconds. He was able to snap the end off and almost swallowed it. While I understand dogs are not to be left alone to chew these toys this was happening right in front of me. My dog is strong but the break in this toy was so clean as if it wasn’t drmonstrating any resistance. Definitely will not buy again.
Keep your dog busy and their teeth clean!
I love nylabone products! They are great for power chewers, are durable, last literally forever and can be cleaned with soap and water but still retain their flavor. My dogs don’t play with toys but they both will chew on a nylabone for 30+ min at a time. Have tried a bunch of flavors and they don’t seem to have a preference, they love all of them. Great way to wear them out and it definitely gets their teeth clean (sometimes their gums bleed but I only stop them once it’s excessive). Other knock off brands tend to fall apart much faster than these guys (I have had to throw one out after YEARS of wear and tear). Just make sure you get one large enough that it won’t be a choking hazard for your dog and make sure to get a power chewer version if your dog is destructive. (The company does a good job of properly labeling bone sizes based on weight class)
Good Toy
It took my pup a while to warm up to this toy, but I soaked it in some bacon grease and that caught his interest. Now he likes it. Not as much as his real bones, but well enough.
It's nice to have an alternative to the Kong, which he likes to throw around and chase - not exactly good behaviour for a big dog at night time in an apartment building!
My dogs love these bones and they're not super expensive but the plastic ones suck because after my dog's been chewing on it for a while and it's full of bite marks, the plastic gets really sharp! Then I have to throw them away.
i bought these for my dog as a teething puppy and still buy them today as an adult dog. My dog loves to chew and these are a great alternative to rawhide treats, especially if you get the flavoured ones.
My dog LOVES these bones, especially the flavoured ones. They amuse him for long periods of time and last months. I like these products because of their durability. My dog is 120 pounds and a heavy chewer so it is difficult to find lasting toys/bones but Nylabones stand up to the challenge. While they are a tad costly, they are well worth it, especially considering how much money I've gone through trying to find toys and bones that will last for a heavy chewer.
My dog really enjoyed this at first and he is a very active chewer. I think as time went on maybe the flavor went out of it and he wasn't as interested. So for us it's a very safe chew toy for him and he loves it at first but it's not his top favorite.
I buy these bones for my two Boxers, they seem to enjoy playing with them and they last them a pretty long time so I can't complain! These two usually destroy anything in their path rather quickly when it comes to toys, but these have definitely held up!
