Brilliant

This mascara is one of my favourites make my lashes very long, curled and beautiful which is what I need in the morning. However it does sometimes feel a little heavy on the eyes, other than that perfect

Not waterproof

It would have been a great mascara if only it was waterproof, when i first wore it smudged easily then by the end of the day all of the whole thing i had put in my lashes was under my eye.

It does it all!

It’s been nearly impossible for me to find a mascara that gives me everything (length, volume, separation, lift, build able without clumping) but this is it! It’s really “Worth the Hype”. I’ve been asked many times if I’m wearing falsies. Nope! Just this simple $10 mascara that does it all!!

Good product

The brush is nice, its a little thick compared to the Big lashes brush. After using it for about a week, I would have to disagree. One of the pros that I like is that it does lengthen your lashes but it clumps up like crazy. This product does have a crap load of residue so eyes beware. It doesn't run even when I cried and it has a great wear time.

classic mascara

Classic volume and lenghtening mascara, nice simple brush, easy to apply. This is a good drugstore staple to complete a makeup look. It applied evenly and did not smudge.

Good mascara

I tried NYX Worth the Hype Mascara Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara
in Black. This mascara is really great at lengthening and adding volume
to my lashes. It does a good job at lengthening the inner corners of my
eyes. My eyes really “pop” after applying this mascara. I recommend this
mascara to anyone.

Great for everyday!

This is a great mascara for everyday wear. It defined my lashes, was easy to apply and wore well all day. I prefer a bit more volume so I had to use more than one coat. I was able to build up the mascara by letting it dry a bit before reapplying. I didn't find that it make much impact in terms of lengthening or adding volume, but it did make my lashes very dark and well defined. I think, like me, you'll be much happier with this mascara if your lashes aren't really a concern in the first place. I have length and volume naturally, so this mascara was a great enhancer, but didn't feel transformative. The formula seems very lightweight and the fluffy applicator applied the product well, though I had some trouble getting the applicator into my corners. I think this is a great mascara for day, but if you are looking for something very dramatic you may not get the effect you were hoping for in this mascara.

AVERAGE MASCARA

I was so disappointed in this mascara. I really thought my lashes would look longer but alas ….no. Its an ok mascara and a bit on the pricey side. Maybelline and Covergirl make better comparable mascaras. Nyx makes other excellent products as they are my go to for anything else. Skip the mascaras though.

Not cheap for a drugstore brand

I received a sample of this for free to try - I was asked to purchase this directly from the website to be reimbursed later.

I have never tried anything from NYX before because i've always seen it as a cheap drugstore brand. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this mascara and saw that it has better results than some of the high end brands I've tried (i.e. from Urban Decay). I love that the brush is able to get product onto my thin Asian lashes and build volume, the hold is fantastic and a few strokes really helped to just fan it out. In terms of lengthening, I didn't see too much of that.

As a note for online shoppers - if you're not getting orders over $30 and don't receive free shipping, buying this mascara online can be very pricey (and in my opinion, totally not worth it). From a $10 product, it became almost a $22 product after shipping and tax !!

I was also a little disappointed with the size of the box it came with (it was very very large) and all the excess tissue paper it came with. A mascara is not too delicate of an item and does not require excess protection. It would be more environmentally friendly if it just came in a bubble wrapped envelope.

not that big of a hype

I was so excited to try this because I love trying new drugstore or affordable mascaras. I have like 10 mascaras open at once cause I just have to try them all immediately lol. Well i heard great reviews of this so bought it. Not a bad price it was about $10. It wasn't all that its hyped up to be though. The wand is a good size and it applies the mascara well without getting clumpy and distributes the product on your lashes nicely but it doesn't make my lashes look that long. It's like an average mascara. I can think of many others that would surpass this mascara. I mean i would still use the one I have but not sure if I would repurchase this again. If you already have good lashes, it doesn't do any wonders. The formula isn't too wet or too thick so that's a plus. But overall it's average nothing amazing
