This works awesome! i use it in "Milk" and i love how smooth it is (: at ulta, i believe they are around 5 or 6 dollars, but i found that at the some little stores in the mall they are only about 3 dollars...so i think 3 dollars is a great price, its good quality and i definitely recommend it :D as others have mentioned before, if you have very oily eyelids it is best to use a primer with them, but in my case, it stays on long & strong just like that (:
NYX jumbo eye pencils are my all time favorite bases to use! I have about 10 different shades (and counting), they are pigmented, they blend well, they don't crease, they make shadows so much more vibrant. These are a must have for your collection if you love makeup. If you can only afford one, I would recommend getting it in the creamy white shade called "Milk", these are super creamy and the white is the most universal color of them all. NYX jumbo eye pencils are amazing!
I found NYX and thought I give it the brand a try. This brand is awesome. Its affordable and all their products are highly pigmented and never powdery. They just had a 50% off sale on Canada day and lets just say I bought the entire website haha. I bought the rest of the line but for now I have Milk and Yogurt. Both are great colors that go on so smooth. I just wipe Yogurt on my lower waterline and I immediately look fresher haha! I love how creamy they are, and for new mother like me, 2 swipes on the lid and you're out the door. I love NYX!!!
These are great as a primer! I think in function they remind me of the paint pots by MAC because it's a good base and it gives color. Plus they are very affordable and comes in a variety of shades.
I have these in several colors. Cottage Cheese (shimmery white like MUF Auqa Eyes in White, which I also own), Yogurt (a shimmery pinkish taupe color, really nice), Dark Brown (metallic dark brown), and Milk (a flat white color, no shimmer). Love them all. Another reviewer mentioned that hers smudged. Put some powdered black shadow over top, just lightly, and it will stay all day. Likewise for all the other colors of this product. Use either regular pan shadow or even better, loose mineral shadow applied with a thin edged liner brush. Works every time.
These are by far my favorite shadow sticks. Better even than my MAC shadow stick products and paintpots, and far cheaper. They work great as a base under powders, great on the water line for highlighting, as well as the inner and outer coners of the eye, and have actually even used them on my lips to tone down shades of lipsticks I don't like the color of. Super versatile products, for sure. I bought mine online for less than $2 each, which is spectacular compared to my local price. They are also better than all of the CoverGirl Shadow Blast sticks which I bought and got a refund from the company for, and are terrible in comparison, not to mention more expensive.
The other bonus is that they come in far more colors than any other brand I have tried. Will absolutely keep buying these as long as I am breathing, especally at the price I get them.
The NYX Jumbo Pencils make for a great eyeshadow base and I love that they come in a variety of colors, making it easy to match the eyeshadow(s) you are planning to wear. It has just the right amount of creaminess to glide onto the eyelid and blends easily when smudged out with your finger or eyeshadow brush. Just make sure to blend really well, otherwise you may risk creasing. "Milk" a white shade and "Cottage Cheese" a shimmery cream shade are both great for every day use and will compliment any color of eyeshadow. These two shades also work well at highlighting the arches of the browbone or the inner tear duct area. "Black Bean" is great if you want a very vibrant look, as the black base will make colors really pop. These pencils are very affordable, which makes it easy to collect every shade. My only complaint is that it can be a little difficult to sharpen and you do waste product doing so. If they had a roll up tube it would be more efficient.
I bought a few of these jumbo pencils months ago and I love them. You just apply it all over your lid and blend it out with your finger or a brush and it creates a perfect base for your shadows to stick to. They have a lot of colour choices so it's easy to match it to your eyeshadow that you'll be using. I've depotted one of mine because I thought that it would be creamier, but I actually prefer it in the pencil better. Just be sure to blend everything evenly so that it doesn't crease and your shadows should last all day! I use these all the time and I definitely recommend them.
