I enjoyed this

I enjoyed this product but I would not switch from my normal brand of setting spray for this one. The mist isn’t as fine as I am used to and it doesn’t leave my skin looking as dewy as I normally like.

This one is not for me

I received NYX Bare With Me Prime. Set. Refresh. Multitasking Spray free for review from chick advisor. I don’t use sprays like this so this type of product is new to my make up routine. I struggle with my makeup lasting all day so I was excited to give this a try but also hesitant because of the cucumber in the product as I’m not a fan of the smell of it in my skin care products but this spray didn’t smell like cucumbers at all! However it had a very fragrant smell (maybe to cover up the cucumber smell?) that I found to be too much and unnecessary in a product that I am to apply to my face. Having only tried this product once (due to the fragrance) I can not give it a proper review, however when I did try it my make up looked the same at the end of the day as it does without this product.

Meh

I was excited to try this product but when I used it the smell was very alcoholicy. I was hoping for a pleasant light smell especially if I was using it as a refresher. I used it only a handful of times and I didn't notice much if a difference.

A decent prep spray

I honestly think that this should only be marketed as a prep spray. I don't notice any increased staying power when I use it as a setting spray, but when I prep my skin with it I do get a lovely skinlike finish.

It reminds me of MAC Fix Plus, or the Smashbox Primer Water – great for prep, makes sure your makeup isn't cakey, but not a great setting spray, especially for oily skin.

So yes, I'd recommend it, but only for specific skin-types and purposes.

Nothing special

I don't find the mister to be super effective (it works, but doesn't have a huge radius) so I have to spray quite a few times. I also don't feel this helps to blend all my makeup together. I have not tried it as a primer.

Bottle isn't great, but product is fine

I got this product free as part of the Product Review Club.

Let me start with my first impression of this product - the bottle isn't great. It clearly just has a cheap, bog-standard spray top, and it doesn't mist evenly over your face, just sprays it onto one part of your face, meaning you have to use more sprays than you would with other brands.

This spray smelled a lot more chemical-y than other setting sprays I've used, and to be honest I didn't really love it as a setting spray. It was nice for spraying after showering to moisturize my skin a little and as a little skin refresher after getting home from work.

I think there are way better setting sprays on the market for a similar price.

Ok, sans plus

Je l'ai utilisé pour préparer la peau et pour rafraîchir. À part l'effet de fraîcheur, je n'ai pas trouvé que le produit était efficace.
Sur l'emballage, on y fait mention qu'on pouvait l'utilisé comme fixateur mais c'est impossible. Le jet n'était pas assez fin pour que je pense à l'essayer de cette façon.

Good, but not great

Setting spray is one of the few products I regularly splurge on, so I have lofty expectations for my setting sprays. This NYX spray, when used as a setting spray, is effective at first, but as the day wears on, I find it tends to lose its staying power. For the price you pay, the quality is good, however I've used brands in the past that hold my makeup in place for much longer.

Conversely, I found it did a good job priming my skin for my makeup. It is super lightweight, to the point it feels as though your skin is bare (hence the name, I guess). It doesn't really do much to even out skin imperfections, but that isn't typically an issue for me.

Overall, I would recommend this product as a primer, but not necessarily as a setting spray to rely on for a long day of makeup wear!

Will not buy again

Doesn't set makeup well at all. You need a lot for full coverage of your face. Smells ok- has a very light scent. It also makes me break out. So I would steer clear of you have sensitive skin!
