It is great that there is a way to remove shellac at home but I found there were too many steps involved in the process. I would prefer to go to the salon and have the Shellac removed when I get my next manicure. I was given the product as part of the product review club.
I took part in the Chick Advisor #tryshellac review. Therefore received the Offaly Fast Removal Kit for free. I had a wonderful experience at the salon and loved my manicure. The removal not so much. In fact I honestly was not too impressed with the CND Offly Fast removal. The kit comes with foil remover wraps, orangewood stick, replenishing remover, and Solar Oil a nail and cuticle conditioning polish. I just found it to took longer then the recommended 8 minutes. I didn't really care for the look of my nails after. In fact I actually ended up putting vaseline on each nail after. In the future after a Shellac manicure I would just go back to the salon for removal. I wouldn't recommend this product.
I was one of the lucky people who received this kit for review from ChickAdvisor and CNDCanada. The kit is very easy to use with specific instructions which were very easy to follow. Here are the steps, using cotton balls, soak your cotton with polish remover, then put it on your nails, and wraps your nail/finger tips with foil. All of the polish will flare up and easily be removed by gently rubbing the nail polish of with a cotton ball. If there is some polish left on your nails then you can remove it with the stick included in the kit. Fortunately, I didn't need to remove nail polish with the stick. Next, simply polish your nails with the solaroil. That easy! The kit is perfect for those days you want to skip the salon and remove your nail polish at your own time or to give your nails a break, and get your next CND Shellac whenever you get around to it. If you or someone you know love playing with Shellac nail polish, this would make a great gift her.
just Fyi, if you're planning to buy this kit make sure you open the box to confirm you have 10 foil remover wraps in each package. I had 8 in one and 9 on the other.
The instructions were not too difficult to follow. Although I was a little like, "what is this" at first. My nails are pretty strong, so they were not too affected. I'd recommend it. But personally, I think next time I'd go back to Candy Nails Bar and have them remove it for me. This was a free service I received courtesy of Chick Adviser. It was much appreciated.
This kit is basically just a bottle of acetone, some foil wraps, mini bottle of cuticle oil and stick to help scratch off the polish. There is nothing special about this kit that you wouldn't be able to achieve by yourself at home. You can easily buy acetone and use regular tin foil to insulate your nails with the acetone soaked cotton. Since the polish is very difficult to removed, you need to soak your fingers in acteone for aroun 8-10 mins to loosen the gel and use the stick to scratch the remainder off. It will start peeling but it's not a clean removal you'd expect from regular nail polishes.
The whole process of wrapping each finger in foil took quite a bit of time, especially if you're doing it by yourself. In all, it took about 20-25 mins for me to get all cleaned up.
I received the CND™ Offly Fast At-Home Removal Kit to try for free from ChickAdvisors Product Review Club. I found the instructions to use the removal products clear and easy to understand - was particularly helpful having the tin foil and cotton pads pre prepped for quick and easy use. The CND shellac polish came of quickly with little effort and left my nails clear of any residue or damage to the nail. I also really liked the solaroil that came with the kit. I would continue to use the At-Home Removal Kit in the future and I would recommend it to friends.
The instructions were fairly easy to file. The polish came off easily and I used the stick to take an polish off that was left on nails. My nails seemed to be in good shape. I might recommend this kit to a friend.
I received this product after my Shellac manicure thanks to ChickAdvisor's Product Club Review! It was effective in removing all of the nail color, however pay lots of attention to generously apply with the cuticle oil as your nails will look a tad bit dehydrated!
I found the instructions easy to follow. The removing of the Shellac was easier then I thought it would be. It was difficult to get the foils tightly wrapped around my right hand with them already on my left hand. I found my nails a little brittle after I removed the Shellac but lucky none broke. I found I had to really scrape the polish off the sides of my nails. I also had to buff them down after to smooth them out. I was surprised the removal kit did not come with a nail buffer. My nails feel a little rough still. I was able to paint my nails after with regular nail polish. I would recommend this product to friends. The photo is my nails after I removed the Shellac at home.
