I have read this book to my 17 year old son when he was a toddler and I now read it to my sixteen month old daughter. Its a beautifully written book that teaches children that life is full of decisions and the outcome of the decisions can be positive or negative. It teaches them that although sometimes things work out in their favor, sometimes they don't. It also teaches them to be wise with their decisions and really put thought into things they do and say and the places they go as it could affect their life in both a positive or negative way. Although it's a serious topic it's written in a way thats positive and inspiring for children and adults alike. The things you want your child to be mentally prepared for be it going to pre-school, graduating, finding a job or almost any life event, significant or not. This book is still written in the usual fun, lighthearted, rhyming Dr. Deus way, with the usual bright illustrations and recognizable and unique Dr. Deus characters that both kids and adults alike can relate to?Oh, The Places You'll Go is the last book ever published before Dr.Seus's passing and in my opinion it the best book he ever wrote.
