Pumpkin spiced yogurt
I love anything pumpkin spice so I had to try Oikos spiced pumkin greek yogurt when I saw them at Walmart. I am disappointed with the flavouring, you can mildly taste the pumpkin, cinnanon and nutmeg. I did not find the yogurt spiced enough. I like think it needs a bit more spices for my liking.
Great fall treat!
I am a huge Pumpkin spice fan and bought a whole bunch of these before I had even tried them. I wasn't disappointed. They are rich, creamy and with just a hint of pumpkin spice. Not overly sweet or artificial tasting.
Not a strong pumpkin flavor
If you are a huge fan of pumpkin, you might enjoy this yogurt!
I was not the biggest fan of this yogurt because I found it lacked pumpkin flavor, but my little sister who is a picky eater is in love with it. This yogurt has a mild pumpkin flavor and it is not very sweet. You can taste the spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg which I found interesting. This is a limited edition yogurt so I would say it is worth a try. You can purchase OIKIS yogurt from most supermarkets. They are relatively expensive compared to other yogurts on the market. You get 4 individually portioned cups for somewhere around $5. I find this yogurt is rich and creamy and it has a nice thickness to it.
Tangy Pumpkin Pie Taste With Creamy Texture
I found this at Wal Mart for $2.99 because I price matched. The pack comes with four containers of yogurt. This is a limited edition offer, which is made clear at the top of the container. Each container is only 90 calories.
The Greek yogurt is semi-thick and creamy. The yogurt is pre-mixed so it is orange in colour, giving a pumpkin pie feel. It combines the taste of pumpkin and cinnamon. The flavour reminds me a tangy pumpkie pie.
I also enjoy freezing my yogurt and taking them out 1 1/2 hours before I'm ready to eat it. With this flavour, however, it diminishes the taste of the pumpkin spice when it is frozen, so I don't recommend it.
Tangy pumpkin spice
The Oikos pumpkin spice yogurt has that super smooth and creamy texture that the brand does oh so well. The yogurt is also very tangy like all of their yogurt is. The tang is usually a good thing for me, but the pumpkin spice flavour gets lost behind it this time. The pumpkin spice shows up as the after taste in this yogurt. It leave a slightly spicy and bitter taste lingering on your tongue. I wouldn't buy this again unless i was going to be adding it to a dessert or baked good. I haven't tried baking with this one yet, but i think it would lend itself perfectly to that task.
